One of my cousins similarly wanted to secure a seat at IET Lucknow in the 2nd year itself. He mentions that for indeed taking admission in IET Lucknow in the 2nd year, you have to first complete your diploma, and following that, during the 3rd year, you are required to sit for the UPSEE LEET examination.
Depending on the basics of the score you attained in LEET, you can further go on to securing admission at IET Lucknow via lateral entry.
Here is a detailed outlook of the cut off followed by IET Lucknow both in the 2019 and 2020:

IET Lucknow is a prestigious engineering institute that attracts a large number of aspirants every year. The admission process is based on the performance of candidates in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE).
If you belong to the SC category and have secured a rank of 1311 in the EC branch in UPSEE, then you have a good chance of getting admission to IET Lucknow. However, admission to IET Lucknow is subject to various factors, such as the number of seats available, the number of applicants, the cutoff rank, and so on.
To get an idea about your chances of admission, you can refer to the cutoff rank for the previous year's admissions. The cutoff rank for the SC category in the EC branch in IET Lucknow for the previous year was around 1500, which means you have a decent chance of getting admission. However, the cutoff rank varies every year based on various factors.
Moreover, the admission process for IET Lucknow also includes counseling and seat allotment, where you will have to fill in your choices for the branch and institute. Depending on the availability of seats, you may be allotted a seat in IET Lucknow.
In conclusion, with a rank of 1311 under the SC category in the EC branch in UPSEE, you have a good chance of getting admission to IET Lucknow. However, admission is subject to various factors, and the cutoff rank varies every year. It is advisable to keep an eye on the cutoff rank and participate actively in the counseling process.
The minimum qualifying score for admission to IET Lucknow through the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) is determined by the cutoff marks set by the institute. The cutoff marks are determined based on various factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of seats available.
It is difficult to predict whether you can get admission to IET Lucknow with a score of 360 in UPSEE as the cutoff marks for each year may vary. However, you can check the previous year's cutoff marks for IET Lucknow to get an idea of the minimum qualifying score required for admission. You can also check the official website of IET Lucknow or contact the institute's admission office for more information on the cutoff marks and admission process.
Your rank is good and you may get CS and IT branches. But getting another branch will be difficult for you at this rank. But you can get admission with this rank in any other government college. The closing rank for the first round at IET Lucknow is 15000 for the general category and 16000 for the spot round.
The cut-off for the CSE branch at IET Lucknow is as follows:

The rank you secured is somewhat very close to the rank one of my cousins obtained, a few years back. His rank was 3,349 in UPSEE.
Based on my cousin’s experience, I will say, you can expect to be eligible for either Electronics and Instrumentation (EI) or Chemical Engineering if you belong to the general category.

MMMUT Gorakhpur has a better coding culture compared to IET Lucknow. On campus, you will find many people who actively take part in competitive coding. The alumni of the institute have a good performance record in most of the competitive coding forums. If you are interested in coding, you will get guidance from your seniors.
MMMUT also offers decent facilities and resources to support and encourage the growing coding culture on campus.
ET Lucknow is an autonomous constituent college of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). It is considered one of the tier 3 engineering colleges in the state and most of the students from the institute pass out with an average salary of INR 3 – 4 lakhs per annum to work as clerks in service-based companies which cannot be termed great in any sense.
Electrical Engineering as a discipline is also very dead and there will be very few core companies who will offer jobs.
The skills demanded by the industry are not being supplied by the students and thus placements are lower. If the colleges start implementing changes and upskill their students the situation will definitely improve. But as it stands today, the placements are grim.
With this rank, it is difficult to get admission for the general and OBC category, you can choose other colleges. You should also fill applications for all types of branches so that the options are high.
Check the following table to get an idea of the cut off range at IET Lucknow:
Branch | General | OBC |
B.Tech Computer Science Engineering | 193-342 | 357-495 |
B.Tech Information Technology | 560-655 | 724-941 |
B.Tech Electrical Engineering | 1045-1255 | 1545-1690 |
B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering | 773-979 | 1011-1528 |
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering | 1174-1425 | 1623-1827 |
B.Tech Civil Engineering | 1645-2098 | 2102-2344 |
B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering | 1644-2141 | 2178-2707 |
B.Tech Chemical Engineering | 2366-2856 | 2889-3435 |
Do not lose patience while selecting any college and any branch.
