VIPS Applcation for Various Scholarship Schemes for SC/ST/OBC Students for 2024-25 Session, Check Details

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies is inviting applications under multiple scholarship schemes for SC/ST/OBC candidates for 2024-25 session. The online application process has been started on September 4, 2024 and candidates can apply for it till May 31, 2025 from the e-district portal.

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies offers following scholarship schemes.

• Merit Scholarship for students belonging to SC/ST/OBC Category studying in Professional/Technical Colleges Institutes/Universities
• Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Award to SC/ST/OBC Students
• Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students (Application not started)

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Topper Award

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Topper Award is for top-performing students across the state. The award offers INR 10,000 to the top two students who excel in their studies. It is an one-time award.

• Scholarship recipients must focus on full-time studies and provide regular updates on their academic progress.
• All selected students are expected to maintain satisfactory performance in their courses.
• The scholarship amount is provided for one academic year and is subject to renewal based on academic performance.

Merit Scholarship Details

The scholarship is categorized into two groups based on the level and nature of education:

Group I covers a range of professional and technical courses, including:

• Degree and diploma courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Design, and Town Planning.
• Medical, Dental, and Nursing degrees.
• Professional courses in Hotel Management, Catering Technology, and Pharmacy.
• Law, Veterinary Sciences, and Physiotherapy degrees.

Scholarship Details for Group I

• INR 18,000 per annum will be provided for Undergraduate courses
• INR 20,000 per annum will be provided for Postgraduate courses

Scholarship Details for Group II

It includes various technical courses at the diploma and certificate level, covering:

• Nursing, Pharmacy, and Paramedical courses.
• Vocational training programs at ITI institutions.
• Computer Applications, Data Management, and Hotel Management at the diploma level.

Scholarship Details for Group II

• INR 15,000 per annum will be provided for all courses.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Swami Sahananda Ji Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Enrollment in a recognized college, institute, or university for a professional or technical course.
2. Evidence of financial need, as demonstrated by the family’s annual income (with limits varying by location).
3. Maintenance of a minimum of 50% in previous academic exams.
4. Applicants should not be receiving financial aid from other scholarship schemes.

Applicants must renew the scholarship annually by meeting academic performance requirements and submitting the necessary paperwork.
