New Delhi: Sharda University recently celebrated its 28th Foundation Day with exuberance and festivity. It offered a token of appreciation to the faculty, staff, and officers who have devoted more than 15 years to the institution. The celebration commenced with a spirited cricket match involving the staff and alumni association, setting a lively tone for the festivities.

PK Gupta, the Chancellor of Sharda University, appreciated the students' commendable contributions to the nation's advancement, citing the example of Saurabh Gupta, a Sharda Group student who played a pivotal role in ISRO's Chandrayaan mission success. Gupta also highlighted the institution's role in establishing a world-class medical college in Noida, providing free healthcare during the challenging times of the COVID crisis.

Pro-chancellor of Sharda University, YK Gupta, expressed his views on the event and said: “Foundation Day places a joint obligation on us to progress the institution's aims, uphold its values and shared purpose, and create opportunities for others. We have constructed a one-of-a-kind learning environment to devote our complete attention to developing tomorrow's citizens through innovative thinking, doing, connecting, and being.”

The announcement by Ajit Kumar declared the victory of the Sharda Alumni Association in the cricket match by seven wickets, adding a competitive and joyous edge to the celebrations. To add a touch of stardom, Bollywood singer Dev Negi graced the campus with a live performance during the celebrity night. Negi's repertoire included renditions of some of his most popular songs, enthralling the audience with his talent and charisma.

The Foundation Day of Sharda University honored longstanding contributors. It served as a platform to recognize achievements, celebrate camaraderie, and infuse the campus with a vibrant and spirited atmosphere, fostering a sense of unity and pride among the Sharda community.
