MAH AYUSH UG 2026 Round 2 Choice Filling Begins; Check Last Date to Submit Preferences

State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has released Notice No. 20. The notice opens Round 2 choice filling at the official portal medical2026.mahacet.org. The round is for MAH AYUSH UG 2026 Group B admissions.

Group B covers three undergraduate programmes: BAMS, BHMS and BUMS. Fresh registrations are not accepted at this stage. The round moves straight to choice locking by eligible candidates.

The CET Cell has set a four-day window for choice filling. Candidates must complete locking within this period.

About MAH AYUSH UG Counselling

The State CET Cell runs AYUSH UG admissions in Maharashtra every year. The process uses the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) model. Candidates are allotted seats through online counselling rounds.

Each year sees three CAP rounds followed by a stray vacancy round. Round 1 is the primary allotment round. Rounds 2 and 3 then fill vacated or newly added seats.

Who Can Fill Choices in CAP Round 2?

Only candidates who completed Round 1 registration are eligible. The pool has two groups. First, aspirants who did not get a seat in Round 1. Second, candidates allotted a seat but seeking an upgrade.

Candidates must have appeared for NEET UG 2026 to qualify. They must also meet Maharashtra state domicile rules. These rules were verified during the Round 1 registration stage.

Which Courses Are Covered Under Group B?

CAP Round 2 covers three AYUSH undergraduate programmes offered in Maharashtra:

• Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
• Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)
• Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS)

Seats span government, aided and private unaided colleges across the state. The three programmes run for five and a half years, including internship. All three are recognised by their respective central councils.

How to Fill Choices for MAH AYUSH UG 2026 Round 2?

Candidates must log in with their Round 1 credentials to begin. The portal lists all available seats under the Round 2 matrix. Students should rank colleges strictly by personal preference.

1. Open the official portal at medical2026.mahacet.org.
2. Click on the Round 2 choice filling link.
3. Enter the application number and password to log in.
4. Study the updated Round 2 seat matrix carefully.
5. Add colleges and courses in order of preference.
6. Review the final list before locking it.
7. Download and save the choice filling confirmation page.

The system requires final locking before the deadline. Unlocked choices will not be considered during seat allotment. Candidates can save and revisit the list before locking.

Important Points to Note Before Locking Choices

Choice filling is a one-time activity in each round. Once locked, candidates cannot modify the preference order. The system allots seats based on merit rank and listed preferences.

Candidates should list all preferred colleges, not only the top few. A shorter list reduces chances of allotment. Students may rank as many eligible options as they wish.

Those satisfied with Round 1 can skip this round. The upgrade option requires fresh choice filling. The portal has clear instructions for applicants.

2. Shortlist preferred BAMS, BHMS or BUMS colleges.
3. Finalise and lock the choice list before the deadline.
