Nagpur University (NU) has announced that it will begin its admission process on December 5. Applicants who are eligible to take part in the admission process can know more by visiting the official website; nagpuruniversity.ac.in.

This announcement was made via a circular released by Nagpur University on its website. The University has also released a complete schedule of the admission process. Admissions to various PG courses in Nagpur University are made in July-August. However, due to the lockdown, it was delayed by over 4 months.

As per the circular released by the varsity, the admission would be done through a centralized admission process. A total of 2 rounds would take place and the classes for the new session would start from January 14, 2021.

To be prepared for the admission process, the NU Board of Examination and Evaluation (BOEE) director, Prafulla Sable said that the University is almost done finalizing the result of final year exams. In addition, the pending ones would be expedited to prepare for the workload of PG admissions.

He also said that the results of a few students were withheld for a number of reasons. However, the administration is looking to wrap up the exam results quickly and has already declared the result of 853 examinees.

Admission to the institute for PG programmes would be done on the basis of merit secure for the candidate. The process would begin on December 5, 2020, and end on January 4, 2021.

While many students are relieved that the schedules are finally released after delays, a number of officials are unhappy with it. According to them, the schedule was too lengthy and would further delay the admission process.

The officials wondered about the viability of the academic calendar if the classes start from mid-January. They further questioned when the academic year would end and when the exams for the new admissions would be scheduled.
