New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya has inaugurated a 10-month Executive Certificate Program in Corporate Law for working professionals.
As per IIM Bodh Gaya, this certificate program will provide a solid understanding of corporate laws to the participants. It will explain how the corporate laws are related to various business-related challenges, including corporate governance and regulatory issues.
The Program will also cover developing and putting into practise the practical financial strategies while exercising legal caution. For finance workers, having a clear understanding of how the law is applied is crucial. Participants in this specialised course would gain an understanding of the legal complexities involved in financial and business decisions.
The program was officially launched with the presence of all of the participants, Prof. Vinita S. Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, Prof. Sabyasachi Mohapatra, Associate Professor of Finance and Accounting, and Prof. Soumya Prakash Patra, Assistant Professor of Law and Public Policy at IIM Bodh Gaya. Prof. Sahay expressed his appreciation for the candidates' attendance and noted that IIM Bodh Gaya is an autonomous institution governed by the Board of Governors that is situated in the region of enlightenment.
She also announced the introduction of two full-time residential MBA programs, MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management) and MBA (Digital Business Management), for the academic year 2023-24 and emphasised the participation of senior business executives on the Industry Advisory Boards of both programs.
She advised the audience, “We can only be as good as you think you are. Keep challenging your professors; your contribution will improve the quality of the sessions. You will learn about compliances in this course and being aware of the regulations can help you defend yourself.
Prof. Soumya Prakash Patra mentioned, "The batch profile is dynamic in character, with participants ranging in experience from 30 years to 1.8 years, proving that there is no upper age limit for learning.
In terms of professions, it is also diverse because we work hard to deliver material that lives up to your expectations.
The participants were urged by Prof. Sabyasachi Mohapatra to go through the course modules and to provide helpful input to the programme. At the conclusion of the session, the participants had the chance to ask questions, Profs. Soumya Prakash Patra and Sabyasachi Mohapatra responded to all those questions.
A "Certificate of Completion" will be given to participants who meet all attendance and evaluation requirements by February 1, 2024, at which point the program will be considered complete.
If a participant doesn't meet the requirements (Attendance & Evaluation) associated with finishing the course, a "Certificate of Participation" will be given to him. Successful participants will also receive the designation of Executive Alumni of IIM Bodh Gaya.
