Calcutta University has announced the registration for its Law Entrance Exam. The registration process will commence on July 5, 2023.

New Delhi: Calcutta University has announced the registration process for its 5-year integrated LLB course. The registration process will begin on July 5 for the academic year 2023-24 at the official website, caluniv.ac.in.

Calcutta University law programs have a concrete seat matrix, which helps candidates to understand the competition and make informed decisions about their choices. Candidates need to pay the registration fee of INR 500 for the General category while for the SC, ST, and PwD it is INR 250.

The last date for submitting applications is July 26, 2023. Calcutta University will conduct the CU LLB entrance exam in the last week of July and the hall tickets for the same will be issued from July 15 to 29.

Given below are the eligibility criteria for CU Law Entrance Exam 2023:

  • Aspirants belonging to the general category should have scored at least 45% marks in the best four subjects; excluding environmental studies of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE).
  • A minimum of 40% marks in the best four subjects is required for SC, ST, OBC, and persons with disabilities.
  •  Students who have passed Class 12 from a board other than WBCHSE, Indian School Certificate (ISC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) should obtain ‘equivalence certificate’ from the office of the Registrar.

CU LLB entrance exam will be conducted for a total of 100 marks in a computer-based test (CBT) which includes multiple-choice questions. The paper consists of general English, general knowledge, general reasoning, current affairs, etc.
