Bharathiar University, School of Distance Education (BU-SDE), follows the semester-based examinations into two semesters i.e. Odd & Even semester. The odd semester begins in the month of August while the even semester starts from January.

The term-end semester examination is conducted by the university in the month of December and May during the Odd & Even semester respectively. Results for the same are published on the students portal after 1 month of completion of the examination. Candidates can check the results on the official website of the university.

BU-SDE Revaluation/Retotalling Result

The application for re-totalling or revaluation must be made within 15 days from the receipt of the Statement of Marks.

Application forms for revaluation and re-totalling can be downloaded from the University Website.The fee prescribed for re-totalling per paper is INR 200 and for revaluation is INR 300 respectively.

The filled-in application forms for re-totalling and revaluation should be sent only to the Controller of Examinations along with the fee in the form of Bank of India, B.U.Branch Challan only or Demand Draft has drawn favour of the Registrar,Bharathiar University payable at Coimbatore.

BU-SDE Improvement Result 2025

Students can apply and appear for improvement in one or more theory papers within one year after the completion of the course and such improvement is restricted to one time only. The improvement fee is INR 500/-per paper in addition to the regular examination fee.
