What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

I always had a passion for educating young and ambitious students of our society and the institutions I have worked with over a span of 16 years in Hyderabad and Anantapur have given me a wider perspective and opportunities to enhance my own knowledge and skills. Apart from this, when I interact with students, along with imparting quality education to them, I get so many new things to learn in return which makes conversation and classes even more interesting.

Last but not the least, satisfaction and happiness when we see our students succeeding in their career is truly rewarding. Hence I would say all these factors together have kept me associated with the dynamic and challenging world of education for so long.

Being the Principal of PVKK Institute of Technology, what is your philosophy of leadership?

As the Principal of PVKK Institute of Technology, my philosophy of leadership revolves around empowering people and students around me by effective utilization of resources and learning opportunities. Hence I have given enough freedom to my students to experiment with their ideas using college's facilities as we all have adopted the policy of education with entertainment.

Because we all know that for students to grow on personal and professional level, only knowledge is not enough, therefore unlike other institutions our PKVV provides them good sports arrangements along with scope to participate in extracurricular activities, conferences, workshops and personal training which we organize on a regular basis.

How do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your college?

I strongly believe that the work of an educational institution acts as a best marketing strategy to enhance its reach among its potential students. Therefore our institute has employed various practices in place, first and foremost, we have spacious and modernized computer labs with 500 computers systems and reliable internet connection, wherein we conduct online exams for the public sector and students who come here to appear for these exams can directly observe our campus and every other detail.

Apart from this, we provide free coaching to students for the EAMCET entrance exam and events such as sports tournaments, conferences and workshops are regularly conducted by us and events such as sports tournaments, conferences and workshops are regularly organized by us and all this in return gives direct exposure of our amenities to others. And if we talk about the administration, from the start we have given equal emphasis on both finest quality education and co-curricular activities so that students don;t feel burdened and can rejuvenate themselves after studies.

In your opinion, how is the Indian education system different from foreign education systems?

It’s already known to all that the biggest reason why students join the foreign education system to pursue their dream courses is that overseas universities and colleges give more emphasis on experiential education and that in return strengthens students' concepts. Whereas in the Indian education system, even after so many years focus is more on getting good grades and memorizing concepts, but slowly we are progressing in every domain and bridging the gaps between academia and industry.

How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practices of industry?

Our PVKK Institute of Technology is an affiliated college, so at present we are simply following the curriculum designed and updated by the JNTU. But along with diverse academic needs of students, there are always some gaps which remain unfulfilled, so to bridge those possible gaps and educate students about trends and technologies of corporate world, we conduct extra classes from time to time and also organize industrial training, professional tours, guest lectures and industry-interaction sessions in collaboration with experts as and when needed.

Apart from this, we do research projects so that students can use their classroom learning in real-world scenarios. And it gives me immense happiness to tell you that within the next one year we are going to be an autonomous institution too. Hence we will be having full flexibility to design and update our curriculum in accordance with corporate trends and needs.

How is your college more welcoming to students of different races and economic backgrounds?

Our college provides admission to students and manages its internal affairs in accordance with government policies and many seats of multiple courses have been reserved for women and students of minority categories. So, all this in return helps us to maintain a diverse range of students and any kind of discrimination or racism is strictly prohibited here on campus.

And we have also maintained a single dress code to promote equality and special classes are even arranged for slow learners and also for those who are weak in English. Last but not the least, we provide fee waiver and scholarships to underprivileged and academically bright students under the banner of Balaji Seva Samiti which is the brainchild of our beloved chairman Dr. Kishore Palle.
