Being a Head of Department of the college, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

Maintaining and supplying strong academic leadership is my main responsibility. My primary responsibility is to guide, oversee, and grow the department in order to guarantee that it meets the highest standards of excellence in all of its endeavors. I am responsible for upholding the department's general code of conduct for both students and staff, as well as making sure the curriculum is updated to reflect current trends. In order to learn the material and develop practical skills, I also support a variety of activities.

How do you ensure healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

Encourage students and faculty colleagues to maintain a positive attitude and build trusting relationships. We encourage them to develop their skills and provide moral support for their professional development. We also have a strong mentoring program to support our students with career advice. Our goal is to make virtual learning as user-friendly and easy to understand as possible.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry-oriented?

Through hands-on learning, we help students learn how to solve real-world problems and apply their knowledge. Our curriculum also focuses on developing students' problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Students learn about the latest technology through workshops on new trends, technical lectures, and interactions with alumni.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?

The department's best practices include holding seminars and workshops with industry experts. We introduced active learning, group discussions, and concept tests to test students' knowledge. We focus on improving the skills of our students where we have signed MoUs with third-party organizations to provide internships and site visits.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often does it get updated to make it befitting for the students?

The curriculum is updated every four years. We address core topics and consider AICTE guidelines. We also need to cooperate with our partner university BPUT. We strive not only to adapt our curriculum to the latest trends, but also to be internationally active. Our goal is for our curriculum to produce higher quality outcomes for our students.

What are your views on the placements and higher education about the students from your department or how does your department prepare students for Higher education?

By implementing a career opportunity program, we hope to sensitize our students to the latest trends in society. Additionally, we believe that by providing training in the latest technology, aptitude and reasoning concepts, and focusing on critical thinking and soft skills training, we prepare our students for success.

Any valuable advice which you would like to give to the students to have a prosperous career ahead?

The valuable advice I give to students is to look back on your past, learn from your past mistakes, and gain experience. Based on this knowledge, do your best for your future. The outside world is very competitive and students need more skills to grow within the organization. Continuous learning and educating yourself is important for a sustainable and successful career.
