Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi has concluded the summer internship placement process for the 2021-23 batch. FMS, with its consistent performance, secured 100% placements with the highest ever average stipend of INR 2,62,000 for two months, an increase of 9% from last year, while the median stipend saw a staggering increase of 18% to INR 2,60,000 for two months, from last year. The highest stipend of INR 5 lakhs was offered in the BFSI sector.

Around 37% of students were hired in ConsultingandGeneral Management domains, an increase of 72% from last year. The companies that took part in the campus placement include Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co., BCG, Kearney, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Everest Group, KPMG, Synergy Consulting, Adani, Capgemini, JSW, Mahindra, Piramal Group, RPG, and Tata Administrative Services.

15% of the students received offers for Finance roles from companies like American Express, Citi Bank, DE Shaw, Renew Power, Standard Chartered, State Street, and White Oak Capital.

Around 23% of the students accepted offers in Sales and Marketing, rolled out by the most prestigious firms across the country. Apart from legacy recruiters in the FMCG domain, S&M roles were offered in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Electronics, Retail, Ecommerce, and Industrial Goods sector. Some of the prominent recruiters include Asian Paints, Dabur, Disney Star, Dr. Reddy Laboratories, Google, HUL, ITC Ltd., Mondelez, Nestle, Pidilite, Puma, Reckitt, Samsung, Tata Sky, and Vodafone Idea.

25% of the students were recruited for e-Commerce/IT/Operations by firms such as Adobe, Amazon, Atlassian, Flipkart, Google, Info Edge, Microsoft, Media.net, and Udaan.

102 companies participated in the summer placements process at FMS Delhi, with 74 companies being slotted and 290 offers made to the Full-Time MBA - Batch of 2023. Top legacy recruiters on campus included Accenture, Amazon, Bain & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Coca-Cola, Flipkart, HUL, ITC, Kearney, Microsoft, Media.Net, Nestle, Standard Chartered, Tata Administrative Services amongst others.

As a part of the Arthashastra Talk series, FMS Delhi hosted over 150 business leaders to facilitate comprehensive learning for its students. This is truly reflected in the dominance of its students in the best and the most exclusive corporate competitions in the country. From hosting several industry leaders for knowledge sessions to the inception of the flagship event - Unnayan, a one of its kind Leadership summit with stalwarts from across the world, the tenure has brought about the best amongst the students and contributed greatly to the nurturing academic culture of the FMS student fraternity.


FMS Delhi welcomes Batch of 2023

Following the online interview process conducted in the months of May and June, the Faculty of  Management Studies (FMS), Delhi, will be accepting 287 students as the Batch of 2021-2023 for their two-year full-time Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program. 

The batch has an average work experience duration of 21 months. Gender diversity stands high at 51%, enabling a healthy opportunity for girls to pursue this prestigious program. Data about their educational background says that 68% of the students are from the engineering field,  followed by 18% from commerce, 8% from science and the remaining 6% from other diverse disciplines. 

The distribution of undergraduate colleges indicates that most of the students hail from the top graduation colleges of India. The batch comprises 16% hailing from IITs/BITS, 20% from  NIT/NSIT/DTU, and 18% from premium colleges of Delhi University. 

The work experience of the students is distributed across diverse sectors with 14% from the Banking/Financial Services field, 20% from Consulting roles, 32% in IT, 22% in  Manufacturing, and 12% in various other domains. They have worked with the top Indian and international corporations like Accenture, Airbus, Axis Bank, Bain&Co, BCG, Bristlecone,  Capgemini, Cipla, Deloitte, EXL, Freshworks, Godrej, HUL, ITC, JP Morgan Chase&Co,  Mahindra, Mastercard, McKinsey&Co, Nykaa, Oracle, Pepsico, PWC, Reliance, Samsung,  Zomato, ZS, etc. 

The incoming batch has been welcomed with an induction program which provided them with an opportunity to interact with the dean Dr. Vivek Suneja, the faculty members from various specializations, other senior officials, and have been made aware of the diverse student activities,  societies and clubs so that they get to know FMS Delhi in a better way.


FMS Shines again in Placement despite Economic Downfall

The Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi has concluded the final placement process for the batch of 2018-20 with the highest CTC of 58.6 LPA. Despite the economic slowdown experienced in the country, the institute continued its rich legacy of achieving 100% placements with the highest ever average CTC of 25.6 LPA. The average package increased by 11% over the last year, and the median package stood at 23.4 LPA. The average CTC of the top offers stood at 31 LPA. There has been a 36% increase in the number of PPOs and a 42% increase in the number of consulting offers being made as compared to last year. For the first time, 75% of the offers were above 20 LPA with average CTC of top quartile at 37.3 LPA. The average CTC for women also increased to 26.2 LPA.

33% of the candidates got placed in Consulting, Strategy and General Management domain. Prominent recruiters offering roles in this domain were ABG, Accenture Strategy, Airtel, Bain & Company, Capgemini E.L.I.T.E, EY, Flipkart, Kearney, McKinsey & Company, Shell, TAS, and Xiaomi.

Continuing the trend of last few years, e-commerce companies recruited in large numbers from FMS. E-commerce giants offered coveted product and program management roles. The Operations/IT/E-commerce domain received 26% of the total offers from companies like Amazon, American Express, Cloudtail, Delhivery, Flipkart, Freshworks, Go-MMT, Infoedge, Microsoft and RBS.

Apart from legacy recruiters in the FMCG sector, sales/marketing roles were offered by the Pharmaceutical, Consumer Electronics, Retail, E-Commerce, Industrial Goods and Automobile sectors. A total of 24% of offers were offered in this domain with recruiters like Asian Paints, Coca Cola, Dr. Reddy’s, Google, HCCB, Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, Johnson & Johnson, Mondelez, Nestle, Reckitt Benckiser, Samsung, Tata Sky, Tolaram Group, and Vivo.

17% of the total offers were from the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) domain with roles being offered in Front end Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury etc. The companies that took part in the process include Airtel, American Express, Avendus Capital, Bank of America, Barclays, Haitong Securities, HDFC IB, HSBC, Power Finance, and TIWPE amongst others.
