Dr. Tumati Venkateswara Rao is the Head of the ECE department at Sir C.R. Reddy College of Engineering. He has over 33 years of teaching experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTUK. He has published more than 40 research papers in national and international journals. He has guided over 40 B.Tech projects and over 12 M.Tech projects. He is a Coordinator for AICTE sponsored 2 week FDP “BIOMEDICAL SIGNAL PROCESSING AND APPLICATIONS” conducted from 1st to 14th November 2019. He has conducted nearly 40 Workshops/ Seminars and technical events including two national and one international conferences. He has delivered technical talks in various institutions, and attended as chief Guest.

As a Head of Department with a long-standing background in educational leadership, I am deeply attached to the education sector for a number of reasons. The most fundamental of these is the impact that education can have on individuals and society. I am continually inspired by the transformative powers of knowledge and the development of students. Additionally, the ever-changing nature of education continues to captivate me, as it provides new opportunities and challenges for innovation. The opportunity to influence the future through mentorship and a passion for education is a privilege that sustains my commitment to this important sector.

Being the HOD of SIR C.R.Reddy College of Engineering what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

My leadership style is characterized as transformational. My leadership philosophy revolves around the principles of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. I firmly adhere to visionary leadership, where well-defined objectives are established, yet the entire team is motivated and provided with support to attain them. I cultivate a culture of transparency, active listening, and empowerment. I actively encourage my faculty and staff to think creatively, take initiative, and continually enhance their skill sets. I have a strong belief in the power of teamwork and a motivated, united team to achieve outstanding outcomes. I am deeply committed to keeping abreast of the latest developments in education and technology to ensure that our department remains at the forefront of academic and research advancements. Leading by example, I foster a culture of lifelong learning and adaptability. My overall leadership style is firmly cantered on growth, collaboration, the success of our students, and the professional development of our faculty.
