Mr. Umesh Upadhyay is the Head of Admissions at LNCT Indore. He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics, an MBA in Marketing and a PhD in Micro Management. Additionally, he has a master’s degree in software technology, an advanced diploma in computer management, and a certificate in hardware and networking. With 23 years of experience, he has worked in education management, business development, branding and promotion, communication and public relations, administration, governance project management, and customer services operations in managerial positions. Mr. Upadhyay is also an associate member of SARV SHIKSHA ABHIYAN and has been awarded the Best Educationist award by Naidunia Media.

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What keeps you connected with the Education Sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?

Exceptional and fulfilling experiences have characterized my career. In particular, the educational community’s quest for knowledge has greatly helped my professional development. I am lucky to have worked with very devoted teachers who have fired me to be a better professional and who have pressed me to do more. Their devotion to continuous education has sourced a very engaging and nurturing environment within which I have been able to develop my skills and knowledge.


Being the Head of Admissions of LNCT what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

To maintain and carry out students’ studies and the life cycle of the entire course, I handle several important functions. These are the control of the admission, conduction of enrollment procedures, commencement of batches, carrying out detailed document verification, and holding of extensive college induction activities. This helps to keep working conditions for the new students easy and effective as well as their academic experience gratifying and productive.


Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to the real-world challenges?

We ensure that our students develop holistically, by availing support features and add-on functional certifications. These materials aim to address the emerging needs of the industry and provide students with in-depth knowledge of their profession. This is made possible through a combination of theoretical learning and practical skills, which we believe will enable our graduates to be competitive in the job market.


How does the curriculum of LNCT ensure that the students are being prepared for the future?

LNCT Group of Colleges has committed to providing quality education and also the all-round development of the students. Within the offered courses, students engage in many educational in- house activities such as making presentations, writing articles, doing case studies and actively participating in conferences, quizzes and conclaves for the betterment of their potential self. How do you try to bring in practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented?

By adding industry-relevant curricula with industrial visits and practical assignments, we want to combine theoretical knowledge and its practical implications. This way, the students receive a very valuable experience of the real-life processes also they learn the application of the knowledge they have learned in the classroom to the real work environment. This is not only used to give a better understanding of the material but it also gives them the chance to be more effective later in their career.


What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to train/teach the students?

Teaming up with top companies and pioneers has allowed our students to put their knowledge into practice. These partnerships let us offer real work experiences. These opportunities boost what students learn in class and equip them with the tools and expertise to thrive in their chosen field. Through these teams, we’re closing the gap between book smarts and real-world skills. This means our grads are set to face the challenges in today’s work world.

Some may not have a clear vision or mission, which can result in inadequate teaching and training methods. These issues can adversely affect students’ educational experiences and their readiness for the workforce.


Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

Commitment and dedication towards your goals are necessary. Realization of the industry’s ever increasing demands is necessary as it will guide to be prepared with the right skills employers need. Also, be attentive and curious about career goals.
