Dr. K. Narasimhaiah Achari is the Head of the EEE Department at Ashoka Women’s Engineering College. He holds a Ph.D. degree in 2019 with the thesis title of “Performance Improvement of Sensor less Control IPMSM Drive with Adaptive Controllers” from Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapu. He has 18 years of teaching experience. He has three patents registered under his name. He has published seven research papers in International Journals.

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

About this course, first I want to mention one thing, every people, every parent has to hear our sound as they grow up, of course, how old it is, it has a whole history as compared to this, but not only considering this software knowledge, if you look at this technologicalindustry, there are number of opportunities, why I am saying this, so applying these couple of skills of electrical engineering, you can able to grab the very good opportunity, I am sure you saw everyone, to turn on the electric bike and how the electric bike is so, after 5 years also, central government is already encouraging to use this electric vehicles, it is a huge opportunity to reduce the pollution, already so many of the metro markets are suffering from this pollution, so we have to make our contribution, while if there is an authority, especially this is only arguments, see if we are arguing this, I am going to say this electric vehicles, we can reduce the pollution, this is the first thing sir, second thing, the more opportunities will come, either in the shipyard as well as for the company setups, why I am saying, any electric vehicle can be controlled by using artificial intelligence or any program, so if the student is able to learn those skills to control any application, then they are having the more opportunities as compared to the software industry, so that's why I am saying this.


What are the best practices in the program you are doing?

The best practice is while doing the process, we are encouraging the students to select the process, and who said, my advice is program ships, or an IOT car, by using IOT, any electric vehicle can be controlled by any electric program, so all the process we are concentrating on by using advanced technologies, therefore the student can be able to enhance their skills, and they can also face the interviews on the technical side also, not only from the software side, so like we are practicing and motivating the students to do the process on their side.


How does the program ensure that the students are prepared for the future?

So the future means, the student has to put the effort on the software side, not only on the teacher side, the best effort is, if they are going for after years, based on industry needs, then they can be a, they have the best opportunities, so that is my suggestion sir, however things are going on, the competition is every year, it is going on, especially on the software side, so you can't take that technology, in that technology, the student has to update their skills on a new day, based on the new trends, new technologies, technological engineering of applications, however they are not only seeing the news, but what they are reading, IIT people, or MIT people, they are going to do research on this, like by application, or by design of new technologies, some new technologies they are going to introduce, so I think the students also are having very much enthusiasm for these technologies and applications, that they can have the future practices.

How do you intend to build an industry connection with this program?

I try to reach all the sources, which is connected to the industries, like for example, research in foreign countries, or the other countries, we can see that industry is coming into, some of the industries, like if you introduce, how do you discipline the branches, and develop companies, so like that, then the students will have more chances, and they can still gain knowledge in this area, so this is my suggestion, so that I want to encourage all the analysts, to introduce this type of new process.


What are the challenges that you face while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

Mainly the challenges, the program in the curriculum, first of all, when the students join this branch, they feel that this branch is difficult as compared to the other branches, while they are facing student lack of knowledge, in common sense, this doesn't require much knowledge of the SACs, when coming to the actual set, they have years of knowledge of the physics, chemistry, but in science, they must have, so all the students, they are coming from the curriculum countries, simply they are, by having their own practices, they are using the, and placing the, any concept, simply they want to get the concept, instead, the students are feeling like that, that's why, they are feeling very much difficult, while solving any problems, so what we are thinking, if you are able to train up the students in that way, then students can be able to perform in this branch, and they feel easy also, so main challenge is, we have to introduce the basic process, we are forgetting always, we are forgetting why we are doing this, because we want to introduce two different branches, but what about the basics, without knowing the basics, how they can apply, so my solution is, by incorporating the basic objects in the first year itself, they can get more knowledge, so then it is easier to apply, from second year, third year, fourth year, so applying the knowledge is easy, while doing similar basic process, that is my suggestion.


What are the types of projects that students are working on this program?

Basically sir, we are always, we feel that, by trying to do application oriented process, prototype model, by observing what are the problems of the big classes, so in theory of community, or in theory of society, if we are able to solve the issues, if we can solve the problems also by applying our projects on technology, whatever it may be, then it will be helpful for the society, so we are trying to implement the projects on prototype model, based on the problems which are faced by the people, and that is what we are encouraging, but on the other side, we are also not forgetting the advanced technology, by applying this advanced technology, we are able to develop the projects.


What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

Exactly sir, I can see through your answers, as of now, there are other questions I don't know, because I am not familiar with the other questions, I mean the electrical questions, so there are more options, I can say that, because the electrical people can go in the software side, or in the industry side, electronics applications, because this is the combination of electrical and electronics, so they can focus on the real estate, and this is better than having no offers, if the student is able to become a student of this real estate, then of course it's a very competitive industry also, for the automotive sector, it's a very competitive process, so multiple options to be started, as compared to the other process, but the thing is, the student has to focus, it means they have to save the projects.
