XLRI Jamshedpur will release the eligibility criteria for the upcoming XAT 2027 examination around 9th July. XAT eligibility criteria are the minimum academic requirements that candidates must meet for admission to MBA/PGDM courses offered by XLRI Jamshedpur and XAT-participating colleges.
The expected eligibility criteria for XAT 2027 are as follows:
- You must hold a 3-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

Reservation at XLRI
XAT XLRI programs do not follow any government-mandated reservation policy for admission. The selection process is primarily merit-based.
The only exception is Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). For FPM, the minimum academic eligibility requirement is lowered from 60% to 50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- No Caste-based Reservation in XAT exam or at XLRI for SC/ST/OBC/EWS.
- No relaxation in application fee for reserved categories.
- Shortlisting for (GD) and (PI) is based on XAT score + academics + work experience
