TSICET 2024 eligibility criteria: Before discussing eligibility criteria let’s first understand what the exam is about. TSICET 2024 exam date has been announced, which is from June 06 to June 08, 2024. It is a state-level entrance exam conducted by TSCHE. The exam is held to grant admission into MBA and MCA programs offered by the universities in the state of Telangana. Now let’s discuss the eligibility criteria in details.
TSICET 2024 eligibility criteria mandates to hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in order to apply for the exam. You are also eligible to apply for full time, or distance mode courses through TSICET 2024 exam. Kakatiya University, Warangal on behalf of TSCHE conducts TSICET entrance examination.
It is mandatory to possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (for General) and 45% (for SC/ST/BC). The candidate must be an Indian National. There are various categories that fall under the reservation list of TSICET 2024. There is a minimum age limit of 19 years of age to appear for TSICET 2024 exam. Students appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to sit for TSICET 2024. TSICET 2024 application form can be filled from the first week of May 2024 by meeting aforementioned eligibility criteria
Ques. I have a qualifying degree from distance mode program. Am I eligible to apply for TSICET 2024 exam?
Ans. The qualifying degree obtained by the Distance Mode Program/ Open Distance Learning (ODL) should have recognition by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB as per UGC Regulations of 2013.
Ques. Is there any maximum age limit set to appear for TSICET 2024 exam?
Ans. No, there is no maximum age limit set by authority to appear at TSICET 2024. Only the minimum age of yours should be 19 years as on the date of notification. Also, you should be an Indian citizen.
TSICET 2024 Age Criteria
- Candidates planning to appear must fulfil the age requirements.
- Candidates must be at least 19 years of age (minimum) to be eligible; whose date of Birth up to 30th March, 2004.
- There is no upper age limit set by the conducting body for TSICET exam.
TSICET 2024 Domicile Criteria
- Candidates must satisfy the national and domicile criteria to qualify to appear for TSICET 2024.
- Indian candidates satisfying the local and non-local status as required by the Higher Education Department of Telangana State are eligible.
- Foreign candidates are however required to go through all nationality norms before applying for the exam.
TSICET 2024 Academic Qualification
Following is the TSICET Eligibility criteria that the candidate applying for TSICET 2024 will be required to fulfil:
- The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local / non-local status requirements laid down in the Telangana State Educational Institutions (TSEI).
- The candidates who are from other nationalities are required to satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.
For MBA
The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s Degree Examination of a minimum of three years duration excluding oriental languages, and with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.
For MCA
The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s Degree Examination of a minimum of three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examination with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.
- The qualifying Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program should have recognition by a joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.
- The candidates who are in the final year of their undergraduate degree course will also be eligible to appear for TSICET-2024.
- Qualifying marks in TSICET Exam are 25% and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC / ST candidates.
Candidates must note that mere qualification in the TSICET 2024 does not entitle admission of the candidate to MBA/MCA course. The candidate will additionally be required to:
- Appear for TSICET 2024 Counselling at the notified Centres.
- Apply in response to the admission notification issued by the authority concerned (for part-time\evening\distance mode).
- Satisfy all the TSICET 2024 Eligibility criteria for admission as stipulated by the authority concerned.

Osmania University
This is one of the colleges that will accept TSICET 2024 marks for admission into its postgraduate programmes. Candidates must be aware of its requirements and specifications.
Candidates seeking admission into the MBA (Technology Management) of Osmania University will be required to satisfy the following conditions.
- Non-Sponsored Category
- Bachelors' Degree from Osmania University or a Degree recognised by the University as equivalent thereto, with an aggregate of not less than 45% marks in Part-I and Part-II put together (Non-Credit courses not included). A pass for SC and ST Candidates is sufficient.
- The candidates seeking admission must qualify in the entrance examination TSICET examination conducted in the year of admission as per the norms prescribed by the University.
- Sponsored Category (For Employees)
- Bachelor's Degree from Osmania University or a Degree recognised by the University as equivalent thereto, with an aggregate of not less than 45% marks in Part I and Part-II put together (Non-credit courses not included). A pass for SC & ST candidates is sufficient.
- The candidate seeking admission must have a minimum of three years experience in Executive / Managerial /Administrative / Supervisory position in a Commercial / Industrial / Business / Government / Non-Commercial undertaking /any other organisation, after obtaining the Bachelor's Degree.
- Candidates under sponsored category need not appear for the entrance examination (I-CET).
- The selection of candidates under sponsored category is based on the number of marks earned by the candidate as per the criteria given below:

It is important for the candidates to know about the total intake capacity of the college that they are applying to. Osmania University has a total of 80 seats. Out of these seats, 40 are reserved for Sponsored Category (Employees Only). The remaining 40 seats are allocated for the Non-sponsored Category.

For Children of Armed Personnel (CAP)
- Certificate issued by Zila Sainik Welfare Officer
- Identity card, and Discharge book (In case of Ex-Servicemen)
- Service Certificate (in case of Service Men) issued by Competent Authority for verification
- Candidates whose parents are domiciled in the State of Telangana based on the Permanent Address/Home Town declared by them while joining the service and as recorded in their Service Register are alone eligible to be considered under CAP Category
For NCC & Sports
- To produce Original Certificates issued by competent authorities
For Minorities
- SSC TC containing Minority Status or Certificate from the Head Master
For Anglo-Indian
- A Certificate issued by Competent Authority of their place of Residence.
