MHT CET Counselling through JEE Main 2024 scores is expected to start from the last week of June 2024. The aspirants who appeared and qualified with JEE Mains 2024 cut off can apply for MHT CET counselling. JEE Main 2024 result for Paper 1 (Session 2) declared on April 26th and 56 students qualified with 100 percentile.

  • As per the eligibility criteria, you must have scored 45% in your 12th standard along with JEE Mains 2024 score. There is 5% relaxation given to students of reserved categories
  • For BTech in Electrical Engineering, you can expect the cut off to be 25380 and 1471 for top colleges like COEP Pune and VJTI Mumbai respectively
  • This year, JEE Main cut off for General category is 93.2362181, 60.0923182 for SC, and 46.6975840 for ST and 0.0018700

The eligibility criteria for candidates opting to participate in MHT CET Counselling through JEE Main 2024 is listed below:

  • Candidates who have passed Class 12th in 2023, 2022 or are appeared in 2024 are eligible to register for Maharashtra JEE Main Counselling 2024.
  • General/OBC candidates must have at least 75% in Class 12th to be eligible for admission and SC/ST candidates require 65% marks.
  • Candidates must score higher than the qualifying JEE Main 2024 Cut Off to be eligible to apply for MHT CET 2024 Counselling

The most important step to participate in MHT CET Counselling is to register for it at the given date. Candidates are required to keep visiting the official website of MHT CET CAP 2024 to remain updated regarding important events and dates. JEE Main 2024 qualified candidates who fail to register themselves are going to be allowed to participate in the counselling process at a later date. The details process for MHT CET 2024 Counselling registration is discussed below:

1. Register at the Candidate’s Portal

  • Visit the official website of MHT CET 2024
  • Select the ‘New Registration’ option at the candidate's login portal
  • Fill in the personal details. Be absolutely careful to remove any error while typing your name, parent's name, religion, category, domicile, and mother tongue
  • Fill in your contact details such as phone number, alternate phone number, email, and address details.
  • Select a security question and fill in the correct answer. Be careful to select a question whose answer only you know and remember. Security questions help in the retrieval of the registered account in case a candidate forgets his/her student ID or password.
  • Select an appropriate password. The guideline for choosing a proper password is mentioned below.
    • Password must be 8 to 13 characters long
    • Password must have at least one upper and lower case alphabet.
    • At least one numeric value must be present in the password.
    • Password must contain at least one special character i.e., !@#$%^&*-

2. Fill in the Examination and Qualification Details

Candidates will have to fill in his/her JEE Main 2024 as well as other qualification details.

  • Submit your class X and XII subject-wise and overall marks along with the name of the school board.
  • Provided information about your JEE Main 2024 exam such as exam session, roll number, marks obtained, and course/subject opted for.

3. Uploading the Required Images/Documents

MHT CET Counselling through JEE Main 2024 Seat Allotment

The various steps involved in the seat allotment process of MHT CET Counselling through JEE Main 2024 is discussed in detail.

1. Reporting at Admission Facilitation Centres (AFC) for verification

Successfully registered candidates are required to report at the Admission Facilitation Centers allotted to them for verification of the documents. They will be required to produce the original above-mentioned documents for verification purposes and a set of self-attested copies of the original documents for submission at the AFC center.

Candidates who fail to show up at the AFC within the mentioned date and time or those who procure false documents/information are not going to be allowed to participate in the counselling process.

2. Display of Merit List

  • After completion of the offline document verification process, the authorities will publish a provisional merit list for Maharashtra State/All India candidates on the official website.
  • Candidates will be given a specific time frame within which they can submit any counselling-related grievances.
  • Finally, the authorities will publish final merit lists of Maharashtra State/All India candidates on the website along with a list of provisional category-wise seats available for the academic year.

3. Selection of College and Course

The provisionally selected candidates are required to log in to their account and select the choice of college and course. Candidates can select a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 300 options. All of the options are to be selected in order of preference as this will be taken into consideration during the allotment of seats.

4. Display of Seat Allotment List

After the closure of the web-option/choice-filling window, Maha CET will release the seat allotment list. Candidates who are allotted a seat will have to log in to the candidate portal to “freeze”, “float” or “slide” their allotted seat. The process can also be conducted offline at any AFC depending on the situation.

  • If the candidate does not want to take part in the further round of seat allotment, then they must select “Freeze”.
  • The option of “Slide” can be used if the candidate accepts the allotted seat but is open for admission into a higher preferred course within the same institute.
  • “Float” is used when the candidate accepts the allotted seat but shows interest if any choice of course or college that is more preferred by the candidate is open for admission in the further rounds of allotment.

5. Reporting at Allotted Institute

Candidates who are successfully allotted a seat in the counselling process will have to report at the allotted institute to complete the admission process. They will be required to pay the remaining admission confirmation fees and submit the above-mentioned documents within the stipulated date and time. A candidate who fails to show up at the allotted institute on the mentioned date and time will no longer be considered for admission.
