Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in the fourth week of April 2025. The registration will start in the first week of March 2025. You can download the registration form from their official website https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/. It is a state-level entrance exam conducted by JCECEB for admission in the first year of the B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering), B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.F.Sc. (Bachelor of Fisheries Science), B.V.Sc. and A.H., B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry degree courses. Through this exam, you can seek admission to the government and private colleges in Jharkhand. If you want to get admission to a B. Tech course then you must have a JEE Main score.

How to apply for the JCECE 2025 exam?
The registration form will be available online on the official website i.e. https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/ from from the first week of March to the first week of April 2025. You need to log in to the official portal with your login credentials to fill out the application form. Provide your personal and educational qualification details in the form. After uploading all the required documents you will have to pay the registration fee. The correction window will be open in the second week of April when you can correct your mistakes (if any) and print the final form after submission. Can I pay the registration fee offline?
You must pay the registration fee online as no offline options are available. You can make the payment using a debit card, credit card, UPI or net banking. Candidates with benchmark disabilities will be exempted from the application fee.
If I fail to appear in the exam can I get a refund of my registration fee?
You have to pay the fee to complete your registration and it will not be refunded in any circumstances. Therefore, before filling up the form or paying the fee you must be sure about whether you want to appear for the exam or not.
What are the courses included in the JCECE 2025 exam?
The exam offers several courses and the eligibility for each course is different. You can select the group of examinations as per your preferences of PCM PCB or PCMB according to the following courses.

For B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering)/ B.Tech. (Dairy Technology)
- Qualification: 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board/University.
- Subject: You are required to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Age limit: The minimum and maximum ages are 17 and 22 as of July 1, 2025, for general students. SC/ST/OBC category candidates will be given a 5-year relaxation of minimum age.
- Physical Fitness: You will have to undergo a medical checkup by the board and only if you are medically fit will be eligible.
- Domicile: You must be a permanent/local resident of Jharkhand according to the domicile by the Raj Bhasa, Government of Jharkhand. You need to show a valid Local Resident Certificate at the time of JCECE counselling.
B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry

For B.V.Sc. and A.H (Animal Husbandry)
- Qualification: Intermediate in Science (10+2) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core courses from a recognized Board/University. If you belong to the general category, you shall have to qualify each subject with 50% marks in the aggregate. SC/ST or other special category of students need to have qualified with 47.5% in the aggregate.
- Subject: You are required to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects.
- Age limit: The minimum and maximum ages are 17 and 25 as of December 31, 2025, for general students. SC/ST/OBC category candidates will be given a 5-year relaxation of minimum age.
- Physical Fitness: You will have to undergo a medical checkup by the board and only if you are medically fit will be eligible.
- Domicile: You must be a permanent/local resident of Jharkhand according to the domicile by the Raj Bhasa, Government of Jharkhand. You need to show a valid Local Resident Certificate at the time of JCECE counselling.
B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science)
- Qualification: Higher Secondary/10+2/Intermediate in Science (10+2) or its equivalent examination with PCMB/ PCB/ Inter (Agriculture) as core subjects from a recognized board or university.
- Subject: You are required to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects.
- Age limit: The minimum and maximum ages are 17 and 22 as of July 1, 2025, for general students. SC/ST/OBC category candidates will be given a 5-year relaxation of minimum age.

What will be the exam pattern of the JCECE 2025 exam?
In this exam, you will be asked 150 questions from subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. 200 questions will be asked in the PCMB exam pattern. You will get a total of 3 hours to answer the questions. The exam will be held offline and you will need to mark your responses in the provided OMR sheet. Only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) will be asked in English and Hindi. You will be given +1 for each correct answer and -0.25 for each wrong response.

What will I have to do to get a seat in my desired college?
After the release of the merit list, you will have to participate in JCECE counselling to get a seat in colleges. The counselling will be conducted through online mode by the JCECE Board. You will be called for counselling based on your merit. The information related to the vacant seats in various participating institutions course-wise will be displayed on the official website after the declaration of the result. You have to pay the seat confirmation fee according to your category. You can make the payment through Bank Challan which can be downloaded from the official website.
