IIITH PGEE or International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad Postgraduate Entrance Exams is a national-level exam conducted by IIITH. It is conducted for admission into Postgraduate and Research programs like M.Tech, M.S., Ph.D. As of IIITH PGEE 2025 exam pattern, there will be two papers, i.e., General Aptitude paper and a Subject paper. There are 90 minutes allotted for each of the two papers.
The General Aptitude paper will have topics of basic aptitude, logical reasoning, and basic questions on Computers and Mathematics. From the Subject paper, you must appear for one of the following relevant subject papers based on your graduation subject (CSE, Civil, or ECE). There will be a negative marking of 25% for every wrong answer applied for both papers. Also, each question carries a +1 mark weightage.

IIITH PGEE 2025 Interview
Master of Science by Research & Ph.D. candidates who are shortlisted based on the PGEE exam will be called for subject interview on campus.

Ques. I want to apply for part-time courses. Is the entrance exam same for part-time programmes and full time programmes?
Ans. Entrance exam will be same for part time and full time courses. However your interest and experience will matter at the time of interview.
Ques. Is there any time limit to complete part-time MTech under IIITH?
Ans. Candidates have to complete minimum 6 semesters and maximum 10 semesters, in part time M.Teh program of IIITH.
Ques. Does IIITH also provide any hostel facility?
Ans. Yes, IIITH provides hostel facility to the students. The full time courses are compulsorily residential. Whereas for research programmes like MS/PhD, hostel facility could be waved by the Dean based on each students case.

Ans. There is no age limit to take admission in PG programmes at IIITH.
Ques. I have done diploma course of 3 years before my graduation. Where do I need to enter my diploma course details?
Ans. In case the diploma is done before graduation, you have to enter the doploma score/percentage in class 12 details section.
Ques. Is there any financial support provided by IIITH for PG programmes?
Ans. Teaching and research assistantships are provided to the students of research program. It amy not be available fot M.Tech program students. Full support is provided to students for their research work. Full-time Ph.D. students are given scholarships that provide a monthly stipend between Rs. 31,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- depending on the stage of the student in the Ph.D. program.
