Selection cut-off marks for HP PAT 2024 polytechnic entrance exam depend on the total number of candidates appeared, the difficulty level of the question paper, etc. However, there is a minimum cut-off score for the written exam based on the caste category of candidates, in order to qualify them for the written exam.
- To attend HP PAT 2024 Counselling, qualifying marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category is 60 marks (10% of total marks).

Counselling process
Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board conducts counseling for the qualified candidates in the exam based on their merit score. The merit will be determined based on marks scored in HP PAT 2024 entrance exam. The steps involved in HP PAT 2024 counseling process are explained in detail below:
- The list of shortlisted candidates for the counseling process has been declared on the official website of the exam conducting board.

- It is a common admission test. Reservation/weightage of any kind is provided as per Govt. policy by the Admission Selection Committee. - A candidate seeking admission in two or more different subcategories of the main category shall be required to fill out one application form and shall mark his options as per the instructions given for filling up the online application form. If the candidate has not mentioned any category/sub-category in his application form, his candidature shall be considered against the General category only.
