Timeline for GRE Score Sending

The pre-selected four colleges are automatically sent your official GRE scores by ETS. If you apply for Additional Score Reports online to be sent to other colleges, it might take 5 days to reach the designated colleges. If you apply via mail or fax, it will take around ten business days. In case you have applied for reinstatement of your scores, it will take two weeks to be reinstated. GRE Score Send Fee

Cancelling GRE score

Although GRE score sending can be cancelled, scores reinstated by applying within 60 days of the test date and with a fee of INR 4,198 (US$50). Send only those GRE test scores that reflect your best performance.

Validity of GRE Scores

The GRE scores are valid for five years beginning from the test date. For instance, scores for a test taken on September 30, 2022, are reportable until August 1, 2027. Each of the test takers is eligible to order an additional GRE score report, for which they are required to pay a fee of INR 2,267 (US$27) per score recipient.

Changing Name on Score Reports

ETS can process a name change request upon submission of valid documents for the same by the candidates. Candidates willing to send scores with their name changed can contact GRE assistance and report the same with valid documents. The same will be reflected in their score reports and other records associated with GRE after further consideration. 

ETS allows candidates to report their scores to 4 different universities for free on the test day. After receiving your result, you can select to send GRE scores to universities except the previous 4 free institutions.
