Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has released the the AP LAWCET 2025 result on June 19, 2025. Check AP LAWCET rank card on the official website cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET. Log in with your registration number, LAWCET hall ticket number, and date of birth to download the rank card for AP LAWCET 2025.

AP LAWCET 2025 Result

The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 35% (i.e. 42 marks out of total 120 marks). There will be no minimum qualifying marks for S.C & S.T candidates for ranking.

This year, AP LAWCET 2025 exam was conducted on June 5, 2025 from 9 AM to 10.30 AM. The exam is conducted online, in CBT mode. Candidates have to answer 120 multiple choice questions in 90 minutes. Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking.

AP LAWCET Exam is available in English and Telugu. AP LAWCET question paper has three sections: 

  • Part A: General Knowledge and Mental Ability (30 questions)
  • Part B: Current Affairs (30 questions)
  • Part C: Aptitude for the Study of Law (60 questions)

AP LAWCET stands for the Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test, an entrance exam for admission into 5-year and 3-year LLB programs at recognized law colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Each year, a different college or university administers AP LAWCET on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

AP LAWCET Exam Pattern

AP LAWCET 2025 Exam Pattern

AP LAWCET Exam has three subjects; namely, Current Affairs, General Knowledge and Mental Ability, and Law Aptitude. The exam will be held online in English and Telugu medium. AP LAWCET question paper will have MCQ based question to be answered within 90 minutes. The Marking Scheme consists of a +1 mark for each correct answer and no negative marks for the wrong answer.

AP LAWCET Preparation

AP LAWCET 2025 Registration and Application Form 

The AP LAWCET application form 2025 will be made available through the AP LAWCET 2025 registration. The registration will tentatively start in the fourth week of March 2025. To fill out the AP LAWCET 2025 application form, you must follow the process below: 

Go to the official website of APSCHE: https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/. First, click on the Common Entrance Tests (CETS)-2025 tab, and then click on the AP LAWCET-2025 tab. You will see the registration link. Click on the AP LAWCET registration link and check the exam eligibility criteria. 

Once this is done, you can register for AP LAWCET 2025 by entering your basic details, qualification-related details, preferred law course (5-year LLB, 3-year LLB or LLM), mobile number, and email ID. Then, pay the AP LAWCET 2025 registration fee. If the payment is successful, fill out the AP LAWCET application form and review your form and submit it. 

Documents Required for AP LAWCET 2025 Application Form

You must ensure you have the following documents ready before filling out the application form:

  • Personal Details: Aadhaar Card (or any valid ID proof for personal details and verification).
  • Educational Certificates: 10th Class (SSC) Marksheet and Certificate OR 12th Class (Intermediate) Marksheet and Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Category Certificate (if applicable): Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/BC candidates) and Income Certificate (if applying under reserved categories).
  • Domicile Certificate: Proof of Residence (if applicable).
  • Other Documents: Passport-sized Photograph (recent, in prescribed format) and Signature (scanned, in prescribed format) and Disability Certificate (for candidates with disabilities).

AP LAWCET Results

AP LAWCET results are out as a merit list on the official website, sche.ap.gov.in/lawcet. Students are given ranks based on their performance in the exam and are shortlisted accordingly. The shortlisted candidates can attend the counseling and further results are communicated via the registration ID of the students. The counseling usually happens in various rounds depending on the rank and vacancy of seats.

A merit list is prepared based on the scores scored by the students. Based on the merit list, ranks are created for each student. If there are two students with the same score, then section-wise marks are taken into account. The next tie-breaking criteria between 2 students with the same score in the sections will be then screened based on age.


AP LAWCET Counselling

Once the ranks are prepared, students are called for AP LAWCET Counseling. The counseling is usually done by online mode who are qualified in AP LAWCET exam. In order to participate in the counseling, students need to register themselves by uploading the necessary documents. Once the documents are verified, students can participate in the counseling process by choosing their desired college in the order of priority. The colleges are allotted based on the rank of the student. After the allotment of college, students need to confirm their admission to the college.

The minimum educational qualification required to take AP LAWCET exam for 5-years LLB course is to have passed Class XII examination from a recognized board with at least 45% marks, while the requirement for 3-years LLB course is to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 45% marks. Students must be at least 21 years old to take this exam.

Since you have completed a three years diploma degree you are eligible to take AP LAWCET for admission to the 5 years LLB courses. You must also have scored at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
