AMIETE 2024 exam pattern is offline pen and paper based. It is a national level entrance test. The question paper of AMIETE 2024 exam will consist of 2 sections. Section A and Section B with a total of 23 theory papers and 4 labs. Students will also have to undergo project work in order to clear the exam. Part one of section A will cover six subjects while part two will cover five subjects. Part one of section B will cover five subjects while part two will cover two compulsory subjects and two elective subjects.
The exam is conducted twice a year. The first session is conducted in June and the second session in December month. Marking of AMIETE 2024 exam is done on the basis of grade points. Students must to secure a minimum of 4 grade points per subject and an aggregate of 5 CGPA in total to crack AMIETE 2024 exam.
AMIETE 2024 syllabus broadly covers three subjects; physics, chemistry, and mathematics. The standard of the syllabus is based on 10+2 or higher secondary level. AMIETE 2024 Exam Pattern in Detail
AMIETE 2024 will be divided into two sections broadly covering a total of 20 theory papers. Each of the two sections will be sub divided into part 1 and part 2.
- Section A will have 11 theory papers while section B will cover 9 theory papers.
- Each of the two sections will have 2 practical papers.
- Candidates will also need to attend seminars while working on the project work assigned to them.
- Every candidate in addition to the above mentioned pattern will need to go through a mandatory training on communication skills and technical writing.
- Though it will be a mandatory training but it will not add any value to the overall score of the candidate.
- Post completion of 14 theory papers, candidates will be allowed to start project work.
- Minimum of 50% marks is required on the theory portion in order to appear for the practical examination.
AMIETE 2024 Marking Scheme
AMIETE 2024 exam will follow a grade based marking strategy. Below points will encourage candidates to understand, the marking pattern of the competitive examination.
- A minimum of 50% of marks will be required in the theory papers in order to start working on the practical lab based portion of the exam.
- Candidates will need to secure a minimum of 4 grade points per subject and an aggregate of 5 CGPA in total to crack AMIETE 2024 exam.
- Since AMIETE 2024 will follow grade system so, 4 grade points will be equivalent to securing grade D in the exam.
- On seminars and practical lab based exam, a candidate must secure a minimum of C grade that is grade point 5 in order to clear AMIETE 2024 exam.

- Attending the required grade is essential to pass the exam.
- Anything below D grade will be considered not qualified under AMIETE 2024 Exam Pattern.

- Each theory paper will carry 4 credit scores.
- The project work or lab based practical paper will carry in total 8 credit scores.

- Candidates securing 9 CGPA or more will pass AMIETE 2024 with distinction.
- Anything below 9 and more than 6.5 CGPA will fetch candidate first division.
- Less than 6.5 and more than 5 CGPA falls under second division.
- Any candidate scoring below 5 CGPA will be considered failed in AMIETE 2024 exam.

AMIETE 2024 Important Instructions
Following is the list of important instructions that students must keep in mind before appearing for the paper:
- Students are advised to visit the allotted examination centre at least an hour before the scheduled time
- Those who are reaching the examination centre after the scheduled time will not be permitted to enter the exam venue
- Students must carry admit card issued to them at time examination center
- There will be only one question paper for each program and students will be given OMR sheet to fill the responses
- They will be provided 10 minutes to read the instructions and also check a misprinting number of pages
- In case of any discrepancy, students need to report invigilator in the examination hall
- Candidates need to carry Blue/ Black Ink/ Ball point pen to fill the OMR sheet
- Candidates will not be permitted to exit examination hall during the test.
