After consummation of the second year or fourth semester, they are qualified for positions. A few names of organizations are Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, and so forth Something like 80 to 90% of understudies get positions. My arrangements subsequent to getting a degree are to improve my position then I'll learn Japanese and I'll find a new line of work in Japan and I'll settle there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The resources in my school were the most incredible in their portion. They helped each understudy in the school as well as they were completely dedicated towards each understudy. Presently likewise in the event that I get a few issues that I can't deal with or address without anyone else I take help from them.

Placement Experience:

As a M.Tech student you can expect a lot of software and analytics companies during the placement season. For M.Tech the placement starts from 3rd semester onwards. For mechanical core companies, the number is lesser as compared to software companies. But overall the placement is good. If you really need a job you can definitely get one here. I personally recommend you to go for atleast one programming language irrespective of any branch. They allow every specialization students for software jobs.Companies like TCS, Capgemini, EPAM, Code Nation, etc. are coming every single year. For core companies you can expect Tata steel, Bajaj Auto, GE, BHEL, etc.Keep in mind that most of the corr companies eligible the students having only 1year education gap after B.Tech. So prepare according to that. But software companies give some relaxation in this regards. For placement package you can't expect any number. But on an average you can get around 5-6L CTC for M.Tech people. Many students prefer higher studies as well. They go for Phd. in reputed IITs, IISC and aslo some foreign Universities after their M.Tech.

Campus Life:

Due to the ongoing pandemic the total session is conducted in online mode. We have not been called by the college yet. The online classes are being conducted through Microsoft Teams. But doing the lab classes is quite unpleasant. For the books and library, as total things are in online mode, NIT Rourkela has done a brilliant job for the students to access its central library named "Biju Patnaik Central Library" completely through online mode. Also we have given login credentials to access famous international journals. Each student and faculty have been provided with individual email ids for all official works. Also every small as well as large events and special occasions are being celebrated. NIT Rourkela has many clubs and groups for its students. There is always opportunities for the coding people. Also a lot of competition are being held on different occasions. Don't have any idea about sports but quora suggests that NIT R campus provides better facilities for sports and exercises. It has gym and swimming pool as well according to some of my friends who have studied earlier.

The college conducts 3 theory and 2 practical lecture daily. Faculty is highly qualified. In one year I have learned about hardware coding through C and C++ and web application through c# and in theory, I have gotten deep knowledge of TOC, CGM, ADA etc. Overall very nice and humble faculty.

Campus Life:

Very nice atmosphere students come across India so we have healthy communication about all types of things. The greenery of the college garden is awesome. Very nice sports ground. National level cricket pith is presented. I have an interest in cricket so I have played at this pitch.

Faculty:

Faculty are qualified and has lot of teaching experience but lack in teaching ability. I am mentioning only about the Mechanical Engineering situation of a Production Engineering ( M. Tech) student. Sports are conducted once a year. Faculty don't even want to teach a PG student. Class won't be conducted according to schedule.

Placement Experience:

PG Students don't get any placements and in particularly Mechanical PG students get placed in very less number. Only company that recruit for Mechanical PG students is Infosys. THAT TOO DUE TO IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR INFOSYS didn't conduct recruitment for 2020 passouts PG students.

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good overall. In my class of M.Tech Production engineering all 12 students were placed in Mercedes 7.5 LPA 3 students Tata Motors 8.5 LPA 5 students Boston R&D 8 LPA 2 Students. Private college lecturer 6 LPA 2 students. So there is a definite guarantee that you will get a job if you arrive in IIT delhi mostly on campus otherwise off campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institute provides ample oppurtunities to the student for research activities. It provides adequate funding for your projects .Faculties promote you to do extensive research. Also there is a good balance of course subjects in the first year. You are motivated to write a lot of research articles and popular journals.

Ques. What is the scope after doing Quality, Reliability and Operations Research [M. Tech. (QROR)] from ISI Kolkata?

● Top Answer By Sreeparna Hazra on 21 Sept 21

Ans. Well, I would if you are worried about job prospects and all stuff although being in ISI Kolkata then shed off your worry. Trust me; you will get a job with an average CTC matching with top B-Schools in India. Job roles such as Business Analyst/Data Scientist and many others will be offered to you. Now let me help you more in understanding this. Let’s break this into two parts – Job vs. Higher Studies. Pursuing Ph.D./Higher Studies is a tough deal if you're applying abroad. My personal perspective, in this case, will be, go for a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering domain.  That's the best option, as it will be aligned with QROR. Now, you should definitely rethink before applying for the courses like Data Science/ Machine Learning domain, or Statistics. For this, I would suggest you consider doing some projects. And if you are at the Indian Statistical Institute you will get a plethora of opportunities. So first and foremost, just be crystal clear with your future endeavors before joining any course. Once you decide, opt for the best but don’t rush. Just give your best thought and calculate all the pros and cons.Read more

● Top Answer By Shrija Param on 26 Jul 23

Ans. NIT Trichy Placements are good for the Industrial Engineering and Management course. You can sit for placements in almost all the companies that offer jobs to Mechanical/Production specializations. IEM students are also exclusively offered placements for Management related profiles. Ques. How's an MTech in industrial engineering from IIT Delhi?

● Top Answer By Kunal Sharma on 05 Apr 23

Ans. IIT Delhi M.Tech program in Industrial Engineering covers a wide range of topics such as statistics, probability, optimization, simulation, etc thus attracting more and more recruiters every year. Of all the fields, a major part of the batch prefers Analytics mainly because of the packages offered and the kind of companies visiting for jobs related to Analytics. Analytics companies arrive way before supply chains and other companies and most students prefer going for Analytics only.  However, the IE branch has much better scope in other Institutes like NITIE, IITB, and IITK. IIT Delhi also isn’t very lacking and its placement statistics are a testament to the same. Around 80% of the entire batch was placed this year with the major recruiters include Accenture Barclays Bank Capgemini Deloitte Flipkart Hindustan Unilever ICICI JP Morgan Chase Coursework : The coursework lacks diversity in comparison to the IEOR at Bombay or IEM at Kanpur. But the best part is the rigorous projects part of the curriculum that begins right from the first year itself. These projects are based on real-life problems in society covering fields such as healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, and public policy while using modern programming tools such as Python, Matlab, Java, C, etc. Some major courses offered in the program are Probability and statistics Linear and Non-linear optimization Industrial Engineering Systems Supply Chain Management MPC (Maintenance Planning and Control) Project Management OPC (operations Planning and Control) SMS (Stochastic Modeling and Simulation) Value Engineering and life cycle costing RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) Considering decent placements and rigorous coursework, MTech in Industrial Engineering at IIT Delhi is not a bad idea.Read more

Ques. How is the Industrial and Engineering and Management course at NIT Calicut?

● Top Answer By Vishal Pandey on 26 Aug 21

Ans. One of my friends with a GATE score of 670 took admission to NIT Calicut. The academics in the field of industrial and management are good but the placements are not good enough. The faculty of NIT Calicut is exceptionally well, knowledgeable and experienced. They are way better than the faculty of NIT Trichy or ISM Dhanbad.  Placements for M.Tech courses are very bad and it is the same in all institutes. The only exception is flagship IITs and NIT Trichy. Therefore, one should opt for NIT Trichy than NIT Calicut.  Therefore, if you are interested in a job right after the course, go for NIT Trichy. If you want to study further in this field, then NIT Calicut would be a suitable choice.Read more
