Candidates who wish to avail of the course of M.E in Chemical Engineering are required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Those who have passed their bachelor’s degree in B.Tech or B.E with an aggregate marks of 55% and above in either streams of Chemical, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Engineering, Biomedical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Telecommunication or Engineering in physics from a recognized university listed under UGC/AIU are deemed eligible for the program.
- Candidates who have cleared the entrance examinations like GATE, GRE, or any equivalent examination can seek admission to the program.
- Candidates who have cleared the entrance examinations and GD/PI conducted by various institutions and colleges.
M.E. (Chemical Engineering): Admission Process
Applicants who seek admission for the course are required to have cleared their Bachelor’s degree in B.Tech or B.E with a minimum aggregate of 55% and above in either stream of telecommunication, computer science, biomedical, metallurgy and material science, Mechanical or electronic engineering, etc.
Candidates are required to clear the various entrance examinations held by different institutions. Applicants who have cleared the entrance examination will have to go through the further rounds of Group Discussion and Personal Interview where the competence and knowledge of the student will be tested. Calculating the marks obtained in the entrance test, GD/PI, in addition to the scores obtained in Graduation level, the admission would be further processed. However, the cut-off marks are subject to vary for different institutions.
