Course Curriculum Overview:

I was a PCMB student and i really loved caculative maths especially the calculus, so in a way calculus drove me to this course, in first semester we had calculus which u enjoyed but I did not had cordial relation with other subjects like : group theory. The curriculum is not outdated because the fundamentals of calculus and real analysis are there which are the bases of higher maths. We got to use " Mathematics software" Which was really fun to use, we can see visuals of trignometric functions and realize their everyday utility in machines, algorithms etc. The exams were conducted on time, internals were given by faculties and externals are same for all DU colleges of same courses.

Faculty:

Faculty of mathematics department are quite amazing. The ratio was 1:68 which didnot create chaotic ecosystem as there were ample seats for everyone and professor was audible to us even if we are at last bench. The understanding and grasping of concepts was smooth, the teaching method applied by faculties was not alike but it was Fruitful, many students from my class who really loved-maths cleared IIT-JAM in final year and they are doing great thanks to the professors like Narendra sir who made learning fun and easy. Faculty is always available to help, they all were kind, intuitive and compassionate and did not follow conventional way of teching.

Fees and Financial Aid:

No, there isn't any approach to placement. There is just a central placement cell in the university to which one can get in touch with for the information of current hiring companies. No, specific scholarship was availed by me as generally the eligibility asks for a family income less than 4 lakhs per annum.

Campus Life:

Campus life is quite mediocre. No, festivals as such. Mostly students are occupied in politics run by student bodies or in preparation of their research interests. As, Department of Philosophy is in the Central University there are no societies. Mainly you can only indulge in academics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course since I want to make my career in the field of Psychology. This field seems very interesting to me and there's a lot of scope in this field. teacher is to student ratio is around 1:5. The faculty are very well qualified. Exams like mid-term and end semester are held regularly.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement after the second semester. The campus placement is not that good then too it's okay. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and local companies visit the campus. around 40% of students get placed. I will be looking for a placement after my degree.

Campus Life:

Our university does not organize many cultural programs. They do not encourage extra circular activities. we did not have any kind of annual fest & fresher's welcome. We have a huge library with all kinds of books available. But many more books to come because I have seen many department's books are missing. However, it's a great place & very well decorated with colorful racks. Our university campus is very good but people who are sitting in the official work department are the worst. Their behavior is very bad. They will harass you for small problems. You can't solve your problem in one day. They just keep giving another date. It is very much awful. We did not have any kind of sports activity. At least I have not seen anything. Lastly I want to say if you came here with lot of dreams and expectation you will be very much disappointed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

After completing graduation in Philosophy I had a wish to study longer. So I have chosen this course. After doing post-graduation I wish to seat in the NET, SET exam. I want to be a school teacher or professor. We have around 45 students in our department batch and we have 5 professors in total. So the student-faculty ratio is one professor per 9 students which is more than enough. Our professors are qualified. But I don't like everyone's teaching method. Some professors are very boring while taking the class. Some of them did not take online classes regularly. Overall it's a medium good experience. We have a total of 4 exams to pass. And we have internal class tests and assignments to submit before every semester.

The college offered scholarships to students every year, If we have the certificate of graduation and the PG's 1st semester certificate, it is eligible for the same. The scholarships are sanction according to their category. For the minority, the students union holding the minority group will take all kinds of trouble to make avail the scholarships, so we had to submit to them. For other group too, they had their own terms regarding the submission of scholarship forms. The average sum which was provided per year was around 18, 000.

Course Curriculum Overview:

M.A in Psychology focuses on subjects like Industrial psychology, counselling psychology, mental as well as social psychology. (Visit the official site for more details regarding the syllabus) I gave the exam approximately 4 years back, I'm pretty sure the subjects would have changed by now but the subjects that were involved in my entrance exam were- Human development, social psychology, personality analysis, general and cognitive psychology. The exam was for 2 hours in which 80 MCQs were to be answered.

Admission:

The college releases an online as well as an offline application form. To apply for the master's program, a candidate has to be graduated in any programs with good academic performance. The college allocates the seats to the students on the basis of the entrance exam, I had to undertake an entrance exam which was cleared and I got a call from the college to visit the college along with my documents.

Admission:

Although the admission process is a long step affair, my admission procedure was simple for my PG course. As the number of applicants were less than the number of seats for the entrance exam, my admission was on the basis of marks obtained in bachelor's degree. My final scores were well accepted by the University so, I easily arranged the documents and got admission.

Placement Experience:

I don't remember having any recruitment process or any training schedule. Nor do I remember any internship ideas shared by the university with their students. I looked about internships online but, managed to get one only during summer vacations as it was difficult to do them if college studies.

Placement Experience:

Since this is the distance learning college, there are no placement opportunities as such. We have to look for the job ourselves. Although the college teaches in such a way that we are able to build our own personality and prepare for the interviews ahead.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I learnt in detail about everything and philosophy hard to teach a person. in two years I learnt a lot about various aspects of philosophy as a whole subject. Since the course was through distance learning, the classes were not at all hectic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In philosophy, when i graduated, the course was pretty outdated and we were studying things which didn't really have any practical implications or some which has been proved to be wrong. Though now as we demanded, they have updated the syllabus and it's better. We had a good faculty, all the teachers were really good. Mayank sir was an amazing teacher we had.

Remarks:

I did my undergraduate degree from DU only and it's a government university plus is prestigious. Delhi university has a different vibe to it and the teachers are also good. Education is affordable and you get a lot of exposure. Get to know about a lot of other career options. There is a lot of emphasis of extra curricular activities also, which is good too.
