Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is very good. There is around 1 faculty per 10 students, and they are all extremely approachable and helpful. Some faculties can be a little hard to deal with but that is expected. The best faculties in the course are M Raja sir, who is very patient with us; Ramalaxmi ma'am, who has a broad expertise and experience; and Kamalanathan sir, who is skilled at technical things such as developement and rigging. I wouldn't say there are any faculties whom I particularly disliked. Most of them try their best to guide us. There are 2 CAT (Continuous assessment test) exams and 1 FAT (Final assessment test) exam per semester. For our course these are fairly easy and don't require prep unless you haven't been attending classes. Majority of students pass the practical exams, but theory exams can be a little challenging. Around 25% of students tend to fail the theory exams such as Media ethics, Media management, VR fundamentals, etc. and have to clear the backlogs.

Campus Life

Gravitas, Riviera are the university festivals held in September and January respectively. The library is large and has a very big collection of books from non fiction to fiction. The majority of books are related to engineering though. We had industry standard pcs and facilities in our classrooms, including raytracing hardware and extremely high spec pc towers. There are plenty of sports activities going on throughout the campus, there is a gym and an outdoor stadium, along with students cups and tournaments being held regularly. There are hundreds of clubs and chapters which are all student led. I was the technical head of the VIT Animation club, which provided me with a lot of exposure to people.

Faculty

- Faculty to Student Ratio is 22:6. Faculty to Student relationship is good and Faculties are OK. - Like Faculties: Manoj Kumar Sir, Lalit Bhatt Sir, Partha Acharya Sir and Rahul Dora Sir. I like them Because, in between Somebody is facing doubt. Children are asking doubt from them & they are clearing their doubt. During taking the classes If any student is disturbing and watching phone they are saying "Keep your phone inside the bag". If someone is absent in the class, they are repeating that topic for them. But, If someone is present in the class whether they are paying attention or not ? Then, they are not repeating that topic for them, etc. - Dislike Faculties are Niket Mehta Sir & Kiran Shetty Sir. Dislke reason is they are teaching anything very slowly. No one is able to understand. - Exams are 12. Some are good & some are difficult. Few Students fail to clear an exam. Course Curriculum is OK, etc.

Campus Life

- Annual & Technical Festivals in each an every month (January: New Year Day, Lohri, Makar Sankranti & Republic Day; February: Basant Panchami; March: Maha Shivratri, Holi & Good Friday; April: Mahavir Jayanti, Ram Navmi & Dr. BR Ambedkar Jayanti; May: Sarhul; June: Eid-ul-Zoha; July: Rath Yatra & Muharram; August: Independence Day, Raksha Bandhan & Janmashtami; September: Karma & Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi; October: Gandhi Jayanti, Durga Pooja & Dussehra; November: Diwali, Chhath Pooja & Birsa/Guru Nanak Jayanti; December: Christmas & Hanuman Jayanti). - Range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library is Good. - Facilities and Technological provisions within the classrooms are Fine. - An overview of Sports and Extracurricular Activities offeres on Campus is not too much Good. - Yes, Only Few students are running social groups, clubs and student portals, etc.

Annual functions is celebrated every year named BIT XTREME and lots of festivals were celebrated which take place in college auditorium. There are very basic and few books for animation and multimedia and there is lots of books available for other course, i request college to look into this issue. The classsrooms were fully eccupied with AC and Fans there are projectors and touch boards for smoother education. There are several active clubs in which you can join and experience many more things other than course.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.sc in animation and multimedia course from this college allowed me to explore and experience diverse knowledge about everything which comes under this course. The teaching method of teachers is so good that only listening to their lecture can make you understand.

Campus Life

Seminars are held 2-3 times in a month by different professionals of various fields. The college holds an Annual Fest every year. The college's computer lab facility is great in numbers but not on quality. Everytime either the computers are broken down, or are going through a physical or software update. Graphics dont work, keyboard are faulty, mouse has detection issues are some that I have faced. These became a problem later on when practical exams were to be held with broken down pcs. Also the college would go through power failures at the exact time you would be giving exams. My batchmates participated in some sports activities, and the college has some table tennis to play. Dont remember any student social groups, but it has CSR group.

Faculty

The Faculty consisted of 7 people of each subject, and in our batch there were 21 students. So it was wasy to learn in a small batch. However our batch had a problem, it had a ratio of 1:20 female to male, making it a difficult experience for that student to not have peers. Even late admissions were not able to improve that ratio. The Faculty is experienced and knowldegable in their subject matter. Although, I believe that having 1 teacher for a grouped rounded-off subjects is not acceptable as each field requires a certain professional, capable of teaching a certain subject. Could improve the faculty numbers by hiring more teachers. You can easily approach and interact with The Faculty teachers during college hours. Most are friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have always had an interest in animation from my school time due to which I selected this college The curriculum is well organized and taught to the students They need to have proper teaching that is we were always shown YouTube tutorials instead of proper methods. We can watch the tutorial by ourselves, you do not need to show us. I rate this 1/10 for such a study. The exams are held twice a year that is, mid-year and then the final year. You will have class test frequently

Internships Opportunities

I would suggest that you look over the internship by yourself instead of the college as they should not provide you with a good package. You can easily get a better one by yourself once you have strong work in your field. You will get assignments from the college, I would say to do them properly and well mannered so that you can share them with the companies you want to apply for. The only way to get a good offer is to get your skills worked upon

Course Curriculum Overview

I am very much into practicals thing, I don't like theory much and I also like animation as I have been a huge fan of Anime. So for me B.Sc Animation Course is best option. As it not only teaches animation it has many other things such as computer programming, different types of animation, Vfx etc. In 2 years of time the students get well prepared to work in industry level. The improvements which I think the college should make is arrange a weekly industrial visit to certain places related to the course so that students know what it is to work in real industry. There are exams every 6 months, the level of exams are not that hard.

Campus Life

My overall experience in college so far has been amazing, it has only been a year in this college and I have become attached to it. Infrastructure is one of the best aspects of this college it has an Auditorium which has capacity to fit 1500 people, the auditorium is known as one of the biggest auditorium in Punjab also in Asia. There are many clubs like music, sports, dance and arts students can join in whatever they desire.
