BCom Financial Markets Scope

After BCom Financial Markets, students can either discover career prospects or go for a master’s degree, which is a popular option, as there are several postgraduate courses for BFM graduates like MBA in Finance, Financial Risk Management (FRM), CFA, CS, and Chartered Accountant.

  • Chartered Accountancy (CA): It is the second best course in the world. CA is mostly concerned with accounting rather than finance. However, because it is such a thorough course, the application of money management will arrive in due time. It takes about 4-5 years to complete CA. You may anticipate a yearly salary of about 6.5-7 lakhs.
  • Financial Risk Manager (FRM): FRM is developed specifically for students with a background in banking and finance. Furthermore, it is a worldwide-recognised course that will add significant value to your resume if you are able to finish it. You must pass two examinations in order to pass FRM; FRM Level 1 and FRM Level 2 are two levels of FRM that take place twice every year in the months of May and November.
  • For a global course like FRM, you'll need to spend approximately INR 1.2–1.5 lakhs. Furthermore, if you complete your FRM, you will be able to get a job that pays between INR 5-7 lakhs per year, which is pretty good for an entry-level employment.
  • Chartered Finance Analyst (CFA): The Chartered Finance Analysts Institute in the United States administers the CFA programme. A globally renowned number one investment course would set you back around INR 2.5 - lakhs. When you consider the value this course delivers, the prices it charges are insignificant. Compensation would be in the range of INR 7-10 lakhs.
  • Company Secretary (CS): The Institute of Company Secretaries of India conducts the CS exam. However, you can begin after 10+2. This course deals with qualitative thinking that takes precedence over quantitative reasoning. The costs for CS are cheap, ranging between INR 30,000 and INR 40,000. After earning your CS certification, you may expect to earn about INR 5-8 lakhs per year.
  • Master of Commerce: After B.Com, most of the scholars choose M.Com. It is a bit like the advanced version of B.Com during which you'll do the systematic study of the core commerce subjects.
  • Masters in Finance or Accountancy: If you would like to review finance or accounting further then you'll choose this course. The technical aspects of finance and quantitative methods are going to be taught. The duration is 1-2 years.

They set it very fairly and marking system is based on the concept that we write for the answer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Faculty are more chill and have a good relation with us and are more like friends. They help us in each and every problem and also acknowledge our difficulties and help us overcome it. They also encourage us to have other curriculum activities other than studies

Course Curriculum Overview:

Basically due to online lectures, honestly I couldn't focus much on all the subjects but yes definitely my last year was amazing, all the aspects of the curriculum really helped me alot to reach my goal. There were many projects and ppts that we made, with which we got the real world experience. I feel course curriculum was amazing, but need to change some teacher's teaching methods as they really make it boring of an interesting subject. Ofcourse the difficultly level was high but ya I made it to cope up with that.

Faculty:

The faculty was good but not all the teachers were impressive, some of them were very rude. Teaching and mentorship was something that we didn't experience much because our 2 years were completely online. When the offline lectures started, at that time I began to interact with teachers but was not comfortable with all, overall the experience was good with all.

I took one and i got concession of 10k so this kind of scholarships are offered by the college every year. And talking about placements and internships so this college offers variety of internships during the first, second and third year and in the end they offers job placements. But the students have to be attentive and grab the opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i wanted to have the knowledge about share market how it works and its perks. This course offered you the knowledge you needed for the share market. The curriculum prepared us by taking exams and tests. The important point to be noted is they used to take references from NSE and BSE. I didn't find any areas which should be improved all the things were on point. They used to conduct tests every 2-3 weeks. Which was very helpful for memorizing the content.

Campus Life:

The college only hosted a annual program. The college was not hosting any events or fests. The college library was well equipped and had wide range of books to choose from. The college had a projector in every classroom. The college hosted a industrial visit for every batch. There used to a student welfare groul. For the queries of any student. They were always available for the help of students.
