My experience with DAV College, Jalandhar

Hostel Facilities:

I have opted for the hostel facility provided by the college. The boys hostel is situated right opposite the college campus and the girl's hostel is just beside the boy's hostel in separate parameters. So there is no need of transportation or long travel to the college as it is just a 2 minute commute on foot. Speaking about the room that i have got, it is a nice space of my own. I have opted for single person room for which we need to pay some extra amount over the basic 33600 rupee hostel fees.

Good college

Hostel Facilities:

Not I was day scholar. I used to come on bike and there was parking inside dav but not its outside. At that time it was charged 5 rs daily now nearly 10-20. Bikes will be safe, thats for sure. Hostel is nice. Rooms are fine. Computer labs are good.

Best place to study both academics and values

Hostel Facilities:

Actually i was day scholar, so i don't have personal experience, but friend of mines who are staying in hostel says meal are good but hostel lodging is not that much good (Reason might be, college was established in 1918 and later to that hostel construction may also took place. so construction was old)

Hostel Facilities:

The rooms in hostel are of both types. Single rooms and sharing rooms both are available. The one who interested in A/C rooms may get the A/C room also. Single rooms are charged around 30000 and shared rooms are charged around 25000. The food which hostelers get from mess is average. The canteen facility is also there for snacks and other type of food stuffs.

The hostels were very neat and tiddy the fees structure was 25000/- annually, Rooms were fitted with well knit air-conditioners, the mess food is the most yummiest and memorable times of my college period because everyday during our tired schedule food was the only gasp to gain energy and mess organisers truly kept in mind the students needs and desires and also offers Sweedishes in every one or two days and the food supplied was served on average rates of 35rs per diet.

The Dav College of Jalandhar

Campus Life:

The library is pretty big, it's the biggest library in punajb, all last year books of every course are also available, you can rent the book for 14 days. To access the college ground you have first register you name to the PE teacher in a particular game you want to play only registeres student can access the ground.
