MIT Institute of Design takes admissions to all its UG and PG courses based on the MITID DET (MITID Design Entrance Test) followed by an Interview. Admission to B.Des and M.Des courses will be based on MITID DET followed by a Studio Test and Personal Interview.

MIT Institute of Design Reservation 2025
MIT Institute of Design follows reservation policies as per the Government of Maharashtra directives. The maximum social or vertical reservation will be provided up to 50% and an additional 10% for the EWS category. Category-wise reservations are applicable for Maharashtra state candidates only. EWS reservation is applicable for all.
All the students other than Maharashtra domicile except EWS will be considered under the OMS General Open category. Further, parallel reservations, ie, 5% of seats of the total intake will be reserved for children of ex-service personnel and active service personnel in Maharashtra. Such candidates should have appeared and passed the HSC examination from any Maharashtra school.
MIT Institute of Design Scholarship 2025
MIT Institute of Design grants full or partial scholarships to 5% of the total students every year. Students are eligible for the MIT Institute of Design Scholarship depending on their performance and financial needs. The interview panel will make such decisions related to the scholarship.
