The industrial training coordination cell is pretty convenient for those who get confused about where to do an internship. Personally, I got to work in JW Marriot Pune with a stipend of around 5K a month. Industrial training is one the best hands-down exposure that a student receives, it's up to them how to grab that experience and make it count.

In intership we have to do work in four departments that are front office, kitchen, housekeeping and food and beverage. Stipend was too less it was 1200 per month in Big company like Taj. Task should be done according to the standards of company
Lots of learnings, very long working hours, 1-4k per month as stipend. I trained under sheraton grand bangalore and 1.2k pm as stipend. Accomodation wasn't provided by the company and is difficult to thrive in a new city.
An internship can be done in any 3 star, 4 stars and 5 star property according to students' location or hometown, Many companies offer internship opportunities to students with different stipends according to their respective policies. Ranging anywhere from 1000 to 5000 per month
Name of companies goes as follows - jw Marriot, radison, roseate, Novotel, welcome hotel, Oberoi, Westin Sohna, etc average stipend offered was Rs 2500 per month after the internship is over you have to prepare a report in which students have to give a complete detail about all the job they did under the hotel.
As mentioned earlier, companies like Starbucks, Oberoi, Marriott, and all other big companies offer internships and placements to IHM pass out. The stipend varies from company to company but it is fairly enough. You'll be given jobs/internships in the four major departments of the hotel; Front Office, Food Production (kitchen), Accommodation (housekeeping), and Food and Beverage (bar/waiter).
Yes, the college does offer internships in the second year for the on-field experience. Oberoi, Taj, Marriott, Ritz Carlton, four points Sheraton, four seasons, etc. Students become more confident and get a clear idea of what they want to work in the industry.
