A hidden gem our college VDC

Likes

Comprehensive clinical postings helps the students and patients a lot.College is always ready to share new teaching skills and ready to share more knowledge to the students every day . Every year there will be sports events and cultural events .
The infrastructure provided here is very elegant and pleasant looking .The equipment provided here is not seen in any other colleges ,Small group teaching is very useful to the students for better understanding .
Maintains hygiene and neatness in both hospital and class rooms.Central sterile supply department is provided .Hand free training is given to the students ,Faculty is very supportive in teaching new topics

Dislikes

College timings should be changed from 9:30Am to 5Pm
Unable to manage the clinical postings and classes in third and final year .
College is in area which is not accessible for the cities rather great place to live in

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teaching faculty and small group teaching helps in choosing this course The exams conducted here and notes and study material provided by faculty is helpful They are very supportive in sending to the conferences by guiding the students. For every 3 months the exams will be conducted and the timing of the exams is 2hours 30 mins .in the given time period students are able to complete the exam

Where learning meets leisure : a college review

Likes

Equipment which was provided in my college
Interaction of staff and supporting staff with students
Patient op and care about the treatment infra structure

Dislikes

It's difficult to balance the work life and
camps which was far away from the college
More portioty to work which was a good thing but less protity to other activities

Knowledge over college

Likes

Small group teaching which makes us to share our thoughts and clear doubts
Sterilization department which keeps treatment in hygiene manner
Vaidhyo in which we keep details of the patient helps for the further treatment

Dislikes

Academics was given more priority and a bit preference to sports
Hostel rooms are not sophisticated and common washroom
Needed more varieties of food in hostel mess

In chose this course as of my interest in our college the curriculum is relevant and we learnt a lot the out patients flow was good so we expose to more cases and we had alternate days of classes and clinics the stress during exams is common but not so difficult

Likes

I like the infrastructure and authentic.
The staff are well experienced and study is good
The sterilization protocol is maximum with autoclave techniques

Dislikes

The college is has strict protocols but good enough for safety
The college has minimal outing which is not good
The public holidays are not majorly given

Placement Experience:

Placements are given in the college which are based on acedemic standards and the hand skills based on the interview and internship is most useful phase where all the minor procedures like root canal trearment and crown placements are been teached in the college with advanced techniques

Navigating Vishnu dental Clg

Likes

As it is comprehensive we used to have focus on each and every individual where everyone is benefited
It used to be ventilated and we used to learn the things as it have few people so everyone is equally prioritized
We used to have vaidhyo where we used to record all the patient details for further appointments

Dislikes

As staff will be changing every 2 months we used to experience little difficulty during early days as everyone will be having different techniques especially prosthodontics so we have to learn the new method and we have to do accordingly
As we got separated from the batch we used to have very little communication with our frnds as they are posted in another comprehensive
As it is comprehensive everyone will be getting different cases where some of the people will get the good cases which others are not

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is extraordinary we used to have small group teaching and we used to have good knowledge on both the theory and the practicles.we used to have lectures Every Wednesday where newer people from different clg come and inspire us and make us to learn new things . We used to have 3 exams and one final exam by university and in between we used to have class tests where we used to cover half of the syllabus

College infrastructure, new advancements,

Satellite clinics for placements and weekly postings in labs

Dislikes

Ug’s are posted in comprehensive clinics and are not we’ll known regarding the procedures done by pg’s
Outing timing ,time taking in treatment ,
Less Holidays, local outings duration is less

Placement Experience:

We are posted in satellite clinic from internship either temporary or permanent. As we posted there they are paid us with some amount if temporary posting If permanent postings we are paid double the normal amount Almost each is posted there and can the patient management After getting my degree I am planning to join PG

Insight into VDC

Likes

I liked the way sterilization provided in our college, infrastructure,and also the encouragement in extracurricular activities
I liked the way comprehensive clinics are divided and opportunities for every treatment
I liked the way of teaching,availability of instruments

Dislikes

Things that I disliked where the hostel facilities need to be improved a little
I dislike about the out side food not to be allowed into the campus
I dislike about the outing to be provided only 1 time per month

Placement Experience:

The satellite clinics were provided and college own clinics with average with yearly 300000 to be provided and more than 85 percentage of students got placements and I used to do my mds after bds degree

Great academic experience , gives priority to the students regarding education
Staff are well qualified and have good experience regarding clinical procedures as well as theory
Infrastructure is top class and there is also central sterilisation department for all instruments

Dislikes

Cultral events are little bit less compared to others
Mostly everything is upto the mark. Extra circulars are less

I like that there are many practical classes as well as theory and we get to attend clinics and shadow the seniors while they treat patients since first year. We are posted in comprhensive clinics since third year so that we get exposure to various aspects of dental care and problems at a single place .

My memorable experience at vdc

Likes

Faculties are provided at best , friendly environment to learn and explore clg infrastructure, Faculties are approachable
Free hand on pts staff monitoring each case , any special case we will be discussed with all
Most treatments are done by us only , good pt care, revisions on topics at exams time

Dislikes

There is not much to be disliked clg is trying maximum to provide best
I think vishnu has less negative aspects mess and everything is good
Pg or specialist department we have less exposure i think they should improve on that
