About BCM
B.C.M. College Kottayam was established in 1955 is a Bishop Chulaparambil Memorial College for Women. The campus is situated at Amalagiri a suburban city, 10 Kms away from Kottayam. It is an educational institution owned and run by the Knanaya Catholic Archdiocese of Kottayam. As a vibrant college full of young and beautiful women, this college is bursting to the seams with life and joy. It strives to mould intellectually well trained, morally upright, socially committed, spiritually inspired womens for the India of today. It is expected that when a student leaves the portals of B.C.M. after her education,she will have become the ideal educated woman, one who combines in her wisdom and grace.

NSS - The NSS unit in the college was selected as one among the best seven NSS units of MG University in the year 2008-09. Ms. Teena Susan Thomas was selected as the best NSS volunteer secretary in MG university in the year 2009-10.
NCC - During the academic year 2013-14 on wards an NCC unit is functioning in the College under the Girls Battalion.

Admission:
The Eligibility criteria for attaining bsc physics, the candidate must be passed +2higher Secondary education with above 50%. You can apply through online by the Official MG University site. And the admission is through online allotment process. There will be reservation.

- Participation in activities like kalotsavam and planning of various unique start ups
- Library is a great facility which has partnership with DC books and along with a wide collection of various categories

- Hostel has limited accomodation because of the number of students
- Woman's only atmosphere may be a limited surrounding for some
Admission:
Admission was through CAP single door method. We can apply for BCM as first option if you need to enter as a first choice. And the allotment is completely based on the mark they enter according to our plus two marks, distance to college, grace mark, economic status, religion etc,. Students belongs to kna have reservation in the college and get admissions in community seats. Apart from merit marks, on can get admission in management quota ,and sports quota seats. Fees change based on the mode of admission and religion of the student .SC, ST, OBC,OEC students get scholarship as usual. After applying through CAP site, take out the print and submit it during the admission procedures if you are selected. Three allotments and two special allotments are conducted for the admission.You can wait to be called on each allotment and apply for special allotment if you didn't get in BCM if you are a reserved category.And apply again for special allotment. Chances are greater to get in that .
Admission:
I got admission in the merit seat. Who is Category Based. I got admission in the 1st allotment as I was with So Mark. The fee was not much and it was 2500rs. Admission started in July 2018. The admission process is all excellent. I did not have to experience any difficulty there. A good atmosphere was what I felt when I went to college. The class started 1 week after admission. Class everything is superb. The course I am taking here is Botany. Is my favorite subject. I got the same in the 1st allotment. Class teachers behave in a very friendly manner. Therefore, I did not have to suffer any hardship. The reservation seat was mine. So the fees were all very low. There is an extra fee for uniforms and labs. That too is a small amount. There is a lot to be said for college. 3 Years of College Experience is one that will never be forgotten in life. The course is good. There are a lot of good job opportunities if you study botany. MSC will be better. Doing MSc will increase the chances.

The course syllabus is made by MG University. Examinations are semester based and internal exams are also there. The faculties are very friendly and talented. They provide us with the best education. Dr. Teena Anna Thomas, faculty of the Department of English is one of the best teachers in BCM.

The Course Curriculum is good. Examinations and Syllabus is as per the instructions made by MG University. We're blessed with highly educated, helpful faculties whom we could approach at any time regarding any queries. Teena Ma'am, Head of the Department of English is such a helpful teacher who always stands with the students for their betterment.

It is great. Every bit of experience you gain has some great values which all are unforgettable.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I was not interested in the course structure. Because the portions are irrelevant.we had c++ in 6th sem. I completely hated that. I loved to learn pure physics.but in my college portions are not research-oriented.it was a very nice college. I loved it very much. But it is easy for some others.

The management is doing a good job in conducting the day to day affairs of the college. They take much interest to keep the college and surroundings in a neat and tidy manner. And are good in inspiring students.
