Good environment and surroundings to take inspiration from
Good place to build connection from all over the country with the diversity of people coming from different states and cultures
Hostels are nice and clean but sometimes they need to be pushed to get things done

Dislikes

Poor transport facility around the city for students cuz it’s very expensive
Vegetarian food to be very difficult to find but after we left, the place is developing
Very bad food in mess which affected the health

Good hostel with beds, shelves and tables for each, also has a balcony for each room
All sports courts as basketball, football, table tennis, badminton
The atmosphere of the campus. It is a very beautiful and eco friendly campus

Dislikes

The classes and studios are conjusted and can barely accomodate all the students together.
Hostel food. Very blunt and barely meets our tastebud requirement. Students do often fall sick
Not enough machineries and tools considering the number of students studying. hence people doesnot get to work individully with certain tools they require like cameras, weaving machine tables etc

Admission:

I applied to NIFT, IIT and NID all 3 design colleges, i cleared all of their entrance exams. And chose NID as it met my career dreams and was also one of the most prestigious design college in india. Hence i knew it was the right choice for myself. The entrance exam consist of 2 rounds. The prelims which is a written exam where we are tested on our drawing skills, general knowledge, aptitude and arithematic skills. The 2 nd one is the mains which is a studio test where you are tested on you material handling, drawing, visual and auditary skills.The cuttofs keep changing each year. and its very difficult to get in as the no of seats are very limited.
