NID Assam Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility Criteria, Selection, Cutoff

NID Assam offers a full-time four-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program in three specializations namely Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Textile & Apparel Design. Candidates offered admission at NID Assa, will have to attend a mandatory Foundation Studies Programme of one year duration. The allotment of the specialization of choice will be based on the performance of the candidate in the Foundation Programme (First Year). Admission to B.Des at NID Assam will be based on the score in NID DAT comprising two stages namely DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

NID Assam B.Des Eligibility Criteria 

NID Assam Eligibility for admission to B.Des is based on two parameters namely Educational Qualification and Age Limit. Here are the details about the same:

Candidates must have completed their higher secondary (10+2) in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, or equivalent. 

NID Assam B.Des Selection Criteria

NID Assam Admission to B.Des is based on the score obtained by the candidates in the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT), which is a paper-and-pencil/pen test that involves both textual and visual questions. NID DAT is conducted in two stages which are as follows: 

• Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims 
• Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will have to first appear for NID DAT Prelims. Based on their merit in NID DAT Prelims, the candidates will be shortlisted to appear for NID DAT Mains. The final selection for NID Assam Admission will be based on the total score obtained by the candidates in NID DAT Prelims and Mains.
