Annual cultural fest and even science fest has been banned giving silly and illogical reasons. (But the course fee includes 1000/- cultural fees per semester). The library is huge. I live on a permanent campus and there are not enough books as there are students. We somehow manage with pdfs. In the permanent campus, the academic block will probably be functional from April 2023. Till then, we are having our classes on the 1st floor of the dining hall, in the health center, and in the guest house, which is not bad. The ambiance in these buildings is quite awesome, to be honest. There are sports facilities inside and outside the hostel. The basketball court, badminton court, and gym are inside the hostel, and football and lawn tennis is done outside. A cricket stadium is under construction. There are a good number of cultural and scientific clubs run by students, for example, astronomy club, physics club, music club, etc.
IISER Br hosts its annual fests: KYRAT in April and Science Fest in November, as well as various fests such as food fests, cultural fests, and so forth. IISER Bpr's campus life is quite dynamic; every festival from every state and culture is celebrated on our campus. We have a central library with a large number of books and access to prestigious periodicals such as Science, Nature, Elsevier, and others. AC, chalkboard, projector, water cooler, TVs for displaying slides, and blackboard for pupils sitting in the back are all provided in the classroom. The sports facilities are good, we have a volleyball court, basketball court, handball, football ground, tennis, Cricket pitch and nets, athletics, running track and indoors like carrom, chess, table tennis, gym khana. There are many student-run active clubs in our institute like the physics club, chemistry club, biology club, mathematics club, cultural club, art club, music club, dance club, drama club, film club, sports club, eco club, etc.
The campus life is good, if not great. The name of our annual fest is "KYRAT". It is conducted either in late march or in early April month. There is a library on our permanent campus where all kinds of educational as well as fictional and story books are stacked. Many prominent journals are also available in the library. One gets access to daily newspapers in the English language as well as other regional languages. Classrooms are well designed with some digital projectors and stand televisions so that even the student sitting on the last bench can also easily notice what sir is teaching. Our campus provides facilities for all kinds of sports including cricket, badminton, table tennis, football, kho-kho, kabaddi, etc. There are sufficient arrangements on our campus for dance and musical activities. There are many science and eco clubs on our campus, e.g. La Vida (Bio club), 137 inverse (Physics club), Chemshala (Chemistry club), Astronomy club, Music club, Film club, Dance and drama club.
Campus Life is pretty good. The hostel is amazing. You'll get a single room here(btw a few rooms are double bedded). The campus is ragging-free. Seniors are very cooperative with us. They are very helpful. You can find all course-related books in the library. If you like extracurricular activities then you can take participate in IICM & IISM. There are lots of clubs like la vida, 137^-1, chemshala, etc.
In my college, IISER BERHAMPUR, there are a lot of fests the whole year. You will be encouraged in sports, Art and other extra curriculum activists. There are many clubs actively working on this, I am a member of the art club. There will be lots of competitions and talks of renowned people in a field to encourage youths. There are also other educational clubs working on interesting fields and encouraging students about science. I can tell you about the Mathematics club in brief. It is really fascinating, I am glad to be a part of this club.
