IIT Madras has declared that the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) is scheduled for February 11, 2024. JAM 2024, encompassing seven test papers, will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test in more than 100 cities across India.
New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) has revealed that the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) is scheduled for February 11, 2024. Interested candidates must note that the online registrations for IIT JAM will begin from September 5, 2023.
IIT JAM 2024, encompassing seven test papers including Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH), will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test in more than 100 cities across India to offer admission to MSc and other courses at IITs, IISc, etc.
As per IIT-Madras, candidates who have either completed their undergraduate degrees or are in their final year of undergraduate programs are eligible to apply for JAM 2024, with no age restrictions. Foreign nationals holding Indian degrees can also apply, following the admitting Institute's policy.

The IIT JAM 2024 online registration will commence on September 5, 2023, and aspiring candidates can apply through the official website @jam.iitm.ac.in. The registration window will close on October 13, 2023, with the Computer-Based Test scheduled to be held on February 11, 2024.

Candidates listed in the merit roster are qualified for admission to approximately 3000 seats available in diverse postgraduate programs across IITs, and more than 2000 seats at IISc, NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, and DIAT through CCMN.
This admission consists of various Masters programs like M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech), M.Sc.- M.Tech. Dual Degree, M.S. (Research), Joint M.Sc. - Ph.D., and M.Sc. - Ph.D. Dual Degree at different institutes.
It's important to note that JAM 2024 scores will remain valid for one year only. To secure admissions in Masters programs for the academic year 2024 - 25, candidates must participate in JAM 2024.
