Eligibility-You have to attempt NEET for admission. Admission is through offline counseling for the students with State domicile and online counseling through Ayush website. 85% seats are reserved for Delhi students
The admission was through a separate exam conducted for bams, bhms, but, etc. at all Indian levels. The eligibility criteria for this exam are that you have to score 70% in PCB (10+2). Now admission to BAMS is through the NEET exam. 100 candidates are allotted seats for the bams course. Seats are reserved for OBC and SC/ST candidates. An improvement I suggest for the admission process is that admission of new batch every year should be conducted timely & for bams, you should prepare to study basic Sanskrit & Hindi. Because in bams a student going to study Ayurved as well as modern art in every aspect.
The admission process was quite transparent, it was done on the basis of NEET, and counseling was done by GGSIPU. It was totally based on the NEET score. I belong to the GENERAL category and I haven't availed any quota. I almost took admission to Hans raj college of Delhi University but I canceled it because my ultimate goal was to become a doctor only and I wanted to pursue MBBS and my dream college was VMMC. BUT due to my NEET score, I couldn't get it. The minimum age for our course is 18 and cut-off marks are different every year.
There are only 100 seats for the course, which of course is a great thing because all the faculties interact personally with us. It's easy for us and them to keep track of each other and everything else that goes on in the institute. Being a government institute, the fees are very feasible too, and there is great exposure in outside commercial industries too, because we have a compulsory internship program.
The aim of this program is, to impart the profound and scientific knowledge of ancient Ayurved in the light of technical advances of modern medicine, to the students so that they are capable enough to serve the public by medicine and surgery. It is a five and half year program consisting of : 1. I professional - 1 year 2. II professional - 1 year 3. III professional - 1 year 4. Final Professional - 1.5 years 5. Compulsory internship - 1 year Them exam structure is always hectic but appropriate for the institute as decided by the board. It's up to the students to be chill and not take much tension and attempt all the exams in confidence.
College management is just fine. overall our college is good. but just have transportation problems.
CBPACS have little administration issues bt apart from this it is a college having its own world and own journey and the Director of the college is very visionary , active and easily reachable!! which take these College at peak in this field very soon.
