About REC
Rajkiya Engineering College was established in the year 2015 in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. REC Sonbhadra offers a B.Tech program in 3 Engineering disciplines, namely, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics Engineering. The total number of seats available in all three disciplines is 180 (60 seats in each discipline). There are an additional 20% seats for Lateral entry in each branch. The Training and Placement Cell of REC, Sonbhadra actively works for a successful summer internship and final placement of all the students of different streams in various esteemed organizations like Hindalco (Aditya Birla Group), Reliance Industries Ltd., Adani Group of Industries, L&T Ltd., Essar Power, Kanoria Chemicals Ltd., Hi-Tech Carbon Plant, Lanco Thermal Power Plant, JP Thermal Power Plant, JP Industries Complex and more.
The cell organizes skill enhancement workshops, seminars, and guest lectures for the students. The cell is well equipped with ample infrastructure in terms of a seminar hall for workshops and presentations.
Rajkiya Engineering College Sonbhadra Scholarships
The college does not offer any scholarship; however, financial assistance is provided to meritorious students of SC/ST & OBC categories under the regulations of the UP State Scholarship scheme. Every year, UP State releases a notification for fee reimbursement for the students of AKTU & its affiliated colleges. Students studying in the REC can register themselves for the fee waiver through the Scholarship & Fee Reimbursement online system of UP State.

I had taken UPTU exam and got rank of around 12k in general and got this college. My category rank was around 1600 and I got this college at last round of my counselling. Need to prepare several documents before starting counselling.

I was diploma holder and I was given the exam UPSEE at 2020 and get near about 2203 rank which is too high but I counciling for college but due to high rank i didn't get any college but in last i got REC SONBHADRA college in spot round i.e., electronic branch. And after that i take admission easily.

Admission process by aktu counselling I got this college. Entrance exam - jee mains , process by submitting in aktu counselling in round 1 I got this and cut off 4 lakh AI and in cse- 84000 AI suprisingly good to see this college

- The college is too far from the road so takes too much time and effort to reach.
- Market is also too far so if have to take anything you have to go approx 2.5km.

Course eligibility is 10+2 with JEE Main exam. The admission process is very simple just you have to participate in UPCET counseling and take your seat. Yes, reservation benefits are also provided so you can easily get admission.

Reservation is also a category wise so you can get category benefits for sc/st students more relaxation provided. I want the admission process should be easier so that anyone can apply easily.

The admission process is very simple the basic eligibility of this course is you have to pass the 12th class from any recognized board and got a good rank in JEE entrance exam The application form will be found at Rajkiya engineering college sounbhadra. REC Is affiliated with AKTU.

This is a government engineering college in which students can take admitted to BTech courses, so it's admission process through the JEE mains examination after they qualify for the exam, counseling should conduct by UPCET or AKTU in which students should be registered their application through students get in the merit list. After the counseling Student must be reported to the college within the given time and take admission.

REC Sonbhadra has hostel facilities available for both boys and girls. The hostel fee is INR 10 thousand per year. There is mess charges seperately charged- INR 15 thousand per year. Being a government college, the facilities are limited in REC. Table tennis court, badminton court, washing machine, Smart TV etc. are the facilities available here.
REC Sonbhadra has strength of highly qualified and seasoned faculty to guide the students regarding technical domain. The faculty members has done research work of which papers are published in National and International Journals.
