Course curriculum is divided into 8 terms. Each term consists of 8 to 10 subjects. In last few terms you have the internship after that you have to submit it and give a presentation in front of the faculties. 7th & 8th term are based on individual preference or electives.
From the 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements but getting placement is difficult and with a good package is rare. But there are certain fields in which fir agriculture engineering students competition is less like for assistant agriculture engineer and AFO etc. Students can pursue MTech here clearing JRF. Recently companies like escort, VST, AMUL, MAHINDRA have hired 10-15 students with an average package of 5LPA. My plan is to prepare for UPSC after getting a degree.
There is less competition in the agricultural engineering field. Along with it it has large scopes in the field of farm machinery, food processing, dairy sites, PSU's,patent incharge and so on.An agriculture engineers can be a competetors of mechanical and civil engineers.
All the management was very helpful to the students & very caring.
