How are the teaching and practical training facility in the college?

The teaching and training facility is considered at a fair standard. The institute has a focus on providing good infrastructure. The institute is quite young which began in 2011. The administration is making good attempts at growing the facilities for practical training.

The college itself does not have scholarships. But it can facilitate benefits from central and state government scholarships, should you be eligible for the same.

How many seats are reserved for the OBC and ST category?

The college reserved 27% of its seats for the OBC category, 15% for SC and 8% for ST categories. These seats if not filled up by the end of admission rounds are made available for the general category admissions. All admissions for the MBBS course are done through the NEET - UG entrance examination. There is no relaxation of the entrance examination for the reserved category seats.

The teachers are very helpful,and available all the time for students.
Seniors are like your own brothers and sisters,they have always got your back.
Classrooms,Library,Practical Laboratories.

Dislikes

Some teachers and seniors are not helpful,but their number is very very few.
Exams are always their,academic pressure is very much in MBBS
The local people are not very friendly at times

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunity is there just like any other medical college in India. This opportunity is provided to each and every student who has passed final year examination,and The Govt. of West Bengal provides them with a stipend of almost 30,000/- INR per month,for 1 year.

Internships Opportunities:

The internship is a part of the MBBS curriculum. It gets started just after completing the final mb exam. The stipend under our university WBUHS is 27k per month. As a peripheral college, we have to handle a huge amount of patient load. Shift duties of interns, house staffs are real challenges through which there's a lot to learn. It makes great opportunities for seeing rural India from a very basic level.

Actually there is no that type of placement, but after 4. 5 years of study we do our internships. and there are proffesors and housestaffs who help the interns in the wards and also the opds. and yes, due to shortage of doctors in our state or maybe in the country, the job availability is always there.
