GMC Yavatmal or Shri Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College was established in 1989 by Sudhakarraoji Nasik. It is connected by road to Nagpur which is 150 km from the college and the nearest railway station Dhamangaon is 40 km away. The college currently is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, NASHIK. The college offers 150 MBBS seats approved by MCI and various PG and Super Speciality courses. Admission into MBBS, PG, and Super Speciality courses is done via NEET UG/PG/SS for All India Quota seats, and the remaining 85% of seats are reserved for State Quota and filled through Maharashtra State Counselling.

GMC Yavatmal Admission 2024
Admissions into GMC Yavatmal are done based on scores obtained in NEET UG, NEET PG and NEET SS for MBBS, MD/MS, and Super Speciality courses respectively. 15% of seats are reserved for All India Quota and the remaining 85% of seats are reserved for State Quota for the MBBS course. MCC will conduct counselling for All India Quota seats and State Quota seats will be filled via Maharastra State counselling . After the declaration of the result counselling is conducted by MCC for All India Quota seats and State quota seats will be filled by Maharastra State Counselling. Candidates must register on the concerned website and fill and lock out their preferred colleges. Upon successful registration, they need to pay a one-time counselling fee. Seats are allotted as per the availability and scores of other candidates.

Admission:
Eligibility for the cource is 12th and neet ug exam clearance . Application form and fees and other are available on svngmc site of college. Reservation for obc, ews, sc, st are available. Admission process is very easy. You have to submit your documents only and other ghing will be done by your seniors to help you.

- The infrastructure of college is nice as there are several buildings including the hospital ,super speciality hospital, student section and the campus area is also good.
- The faculty is really good and have done their degree of MBBS and PG from prestigious institutes.

The admission process is generally completed by counselling for all india and state quota. Cutoff is generally 620 for all india quota last year. The exam for admission process is NEET which is conducted by National testing agency.
Likes
- Very good infrastructure. College building has very good lecture halls and practical labs. Studying in those lecture halls will definitely make you feel that you have good college life.
- Exams are conducted seriously. First and second internal exams followed by prelims prepares you well for the final exam that is university exams conducted by muhs.
Dislikes
- Sometimes the exams get too much hectic. Too much of the internals and practical classes and postings at a time. But then it is a good thing as it teaches you to manage time.
- There is nothing to explore in the city. Although now it is developing at a good pace so you may find it exciting at you time.
Admission:
You have to qualify neet and secure a good rank. The admissions are conducted by the state CET cell. And for all India students the admissions are done through all India quota. Cut off is not so high but you have to score definitely good marks in neet. By looking at the last two years data the minimum marks required for getting into this college will be around 580 in neet fir general category. If you have reservation then you might get the seat with little less marks as compared to general category.

- The infrastructure of our college is also very much great equipped with all the facilities.
Dislikes
- There is nothing like that in disliking this college.
- The college is in district headquarters but the city is not that much great.

It is 5.5 year course. All the admission processes are easy and seniors do help a lot in admission. Exams are normal neither tough nor easy. Reservation benifits in admission as weel as Fees are plso there for Reserved Classes.

The other point is that there is no railway facility in yavatmal so the bus is the only way to reach yavatmal.and so the college.
