For admission you have to give an exam IAT for doing BSMS which is compulsory for all iiser. And I like it because there is some other way by which we can go into a tier 1 college by other exam not by jee or neet like things. The application mainly start in april and form available till end of april. you have to fill it on the IAT site and the exam has fee nearly 2000 rupees. Also there is same reservation pattern as in the central govt. exams, so it is not a big issue. The cutoff for iiser pune is nearly 120 out 240 marks as i gave the exam last year. It vary year to year. The cutoff is different for different iiser. Also IISER PUNE selects only 270 student of the total qualified number which nearly about 5k. So I can say there is huge competition here. The exam is moderate for the admission and exam is available for all over india not in particular area like wbjee.

Admission through either JEE Advanced, IISER Aptitude test is possible. A rank below 7K in JEE Advanced and a rank below 500 in IAT is likely to get admitted in IISER Pune Application form and all other information can be found on www.iiseradmission.in
The IISER is excellent in research programmes. The doctoral programmes are offered in various science streams and also in Humanities and Social Sciences. The admission to PhD usually takes place in January. The admission is based on academic scores and NET eligibility.
Indian Institute of Science Education Research is reputed institute which is popular in having national and international collaborations. The admission to BS MS programme is either by KVPY channel, JEE-Advanced Exam or State and Central Boards Channel.
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is an emerging and developing college, but it is a good place to learn and research. My interest lies in basic science and research. IISERs offers a peaceful environment and an opportunity to learn from great scientists.
A student choose any college so that he can pursue his interests and can get a safe future. The same thing was for me I am intersted in basic science and wants to do Phd in best university of the world like MIT, Harvard etc. That's why I choose IISER Pune.
The college offers a peaceful environment. The college has great faculty, and it serves good food. It is a national importance college and research facilities are best in our India. Good NIRF ranking and top notch faculties.
There are 3 ways to get admission to this institute; the KVPY stream, JEE main Stream and the iiser aptitude test. I got admitted through the iiser aptitude test. I had dropped a year for my medical entrance preparations and gave the iiser aptitude test after giving all other entrance exams. I choose this course because of its high flexibility.
I had the option of engineering in NITs and other government-funded institutions. Still, since childhood, I always wanted to be something different apart from the rat race something which will come up from myself something research-oriented. Yes, I was in coaching and there I realized that people are not allowed to think independently. I was too much into Chemistry and Biology a little bit of Mathematics and as a result of which I made this difficult life-changing decision of joining IISER along with my parent's backup support. I wanted to enjoy science just the way it is and not much-applied stuff like Technology.
