- Candidates who have been provisionally selected for admission to 5-year Masters Program in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence must download their admission form from the official website and report to the concerned department for document verification from Nov 12 to Nov 20, 2024. - Islamia College of Science and Commerce is inviting applications for admission to Ph.D. under Cycle-II in various disciplines/subjects as per available vacancies. The last date to apply online for admission to the Ph.D. program is Nov 20, 2024. The Interaction/ Interview for selection of candidates will be held from Dec 04 to Dec 10, 2024. Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Srinagar was established in 1961 and is a state-funded (autonomous) college affiliated to the University of Kashmir.
It has been accredited with grade ‘A’ with an institutional score of 3.27 CGPA by NAAC. Also this college is the only college in the state of J&K to be granted “College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)” status accorded by UGC.

Documents Required:
- Duly attested Affidavits in case of students having a break in the academic career.
- Matriculation certificates
- Passport size Photograph in jpg/jpeg format of 6 – 50 KB size (3.5cm x4.5 cm)
- Soft copy of Specimen Signature.
- Character and a provisional certificate in original.
- 10th and 12th class mark certificate.
- Reserved Category Certificate.

- Boys and girls have separate lawns, Thats not good if you are studying in a co education college
- The washrooms are very dirty. There is not water & no sanitisation
Admission:
This college is a well known college & it has a great discipline.First of all it has the dress code which is very important. Students without there id cards are not allowed. Studen are free to talk to there teachers even to the principal there is no such boundaries. The other thing is the exams, this college is having regular exams for the improvement of the students.

- Environment was good...with zero ragging...teachers were polite and helpful
- Infrastructure including campus amenities and learning facilities were perfect

I was supposed to apply in Sp college Srinagar but fee was more than this college it was about 12k per yr Then I choose this college viz Islamia College because yearly fee was 10k and plus I heard this college is perfect in every aspect like exam. Results.etc No I don't get rejection actually I didn't apply Admission process is simple and clear ... You have to submit 10th and 12th marks card plus domicile adhar card then u will select on merit base.. but nowadays cuet is applied...means you have to give entrance

i choose this college because i dont had much options to choose from . this college was convinient to me as per the distance and all the colleges here offer same type of infrastructure and academics so it wont have affected my overall degree. admission is based on CUET programs and non cuet programs. the cutoff is pretty normal not a tough competition

NeitherI have applied for any other college yet nor I got rejection from any college. Admission process of our college is simple for honour course one has to qualify entrance exam and then they get admission into it.
Likes
- The college teaching staff is really good. They are really experienced and teach in a good way helping students to learn and improve their skills.
- Our college also participates in inter college sports department gibing an opportunity to the students to actively participate in sports.
Dislikes
- First of all, Infrastructure of our college is really not good. The washroom is really bad, classroom is not good. There are no fans, no proper ventilation in our classroom.
- Talking about our ground, its under construction since past 1 year and there are no sports activities going on there currently. The college department is not serious about sports.
Admission:
Actually its really near my home, just about 3-4 kms distance walking distance of 30 mins. So we can say that was the big reason i joined that college. Admission procees of our college is hectic. And also admission block doesn't help students

- Well equipped labs for practicals and we dont have to pay extra charges for lab

- The toilets are often dirty, with overflowing trash bins, unpleasant odors, and broken fixtures. The lack of regular cleaning is evident, and it poses a health risk to students.
- College play ground is not well maintained

Our college is best in all terms well educated and experienced faculty members well equipped labs smart classes provides [excellent, adequate, subparfacilities to its students. The libraries, laboratories, and classrooms are [well-equipped, modern, in need of improvement]. Additionally, the college has [mention other facilities like sports complexes, hostels, dining halls, etc

- I liked the teachers from Mathematics department.
- I also liked the atmosphere provided for the extracurricular activities.

- I didn't like physics department teachers although in the last year they improved some things.
- I didn't like the electronics department teachers

I already knew about this college and I wanted to see how good this college is, i didn't apply in any other college so I never got rejected. The admission process in these days is based on how much marks you get in cuet ug exam, if you make it in the merit list then you are selected, and it's not that much tough to get selected here.

- Actually i disliked the strictness of my College whether from checking uniform to attendance shortage.
- Also our exam schedule was so much frustrating, each day we were having exams, prestentaion and most importantly assignments.

- Coming to the education , you won't get this kind of good education anywhere else except this autonomous college . Good quality education and it ensures that students are getting prepared for the final end examination side by side by taking T exams

The eligibility is that the students with 75% and above and in for the course as well as the college criteria is tge same The islamia college of science and commerce has it's own full fledged website that provides you with every information anout admission and many more Reservation benefits are there and has good benefits The difficulty level of exams as being said is medium to high level depending on the course and enterance exam you're going to be in .. the exams are taken every 6 months There are no areas of improvement as such but it can be made better by including the coursers for other subjects and keeping in mind the interest of students
