Candidates who have completed 10+2 from the commerce/arts/science streams are eligible to apply for the B.Com course. For UG (BBA and B.Com) courses, candidates who have completed 10+2 from the commerce/arts/science streams or have a Diploma in Engineering, with 40% marks are eligible to apply. - I completed my high school in commerce, and I didnt want to continue studying, so I abandoned the idea of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
- Many companies, such as Himalaya, Patanjali, Tata Motors, Nestle, Apollo Tyres, Ceat Tyres, etc., offer roles such as accountant, salary department head, manager, sales head, etc. Many projects and tasks are also given.
Dislikes
- The placement system and cell of our college are very poor and rusty and do not provide a flexible placement cell for the students.
- The infrastructure is very poor, and connectivity during extreme weather conditions, such as heavy rains, leads to clogging of drains in the College. This results in water blockage on the campus and the cancellation of classes.

To persue undergraduation in GCC , one has to secure atleast above 85% in their Class 12 boards ( CBSE / AHSEC / Other Boards ).Counting of the percentage will be done in best of five basis. No entrance exam is conducted for undergraduation . The addmission process in Gauhati Commerce College is conducted in an online mode. Interested students will have to fill up the form by visiting the college website after declaration of their 12th results . They have give all the required documents and information for their addmission . After the form fill students have to wait for the arrival of the merit lists . Merit lists will have caste reservations also . After finding the name in the merit list, students have to take the addmission by visiting the college website . The student must strictly take the addmisson during the given time since he/she may loose his seat if not taken addmission on time , after which 2nd merit list will be out and other students will take the place.

- It lacks infrastructure-wise. It's as simple as that. A lot of changes are needed to make things better.
- The area is very commercial so it can be a bit chaotic at times. Also, there's a lot of traffic jam

One can enter GCC with their 12th board results. The cutoff for the first list usually is in an around 90%. Subsequent lists are approved with which students with lesser percentage can get the chance to join this prestigious college.

- The first thing I truly liked is the environment it provided for the students to understand what life truly is and how can we overcome any obstacles.
- The second thing I liked is the faculty which helped the students to understand their respective subjects in a great way.

- The only thing I didn't liked is that some of the rooms did not had the facility of air conditioning which is very necessary during the summer season.

One should be HSSLC or 10th pass to apply for class 11th and 12th in the college. And the 12th pass can apply for graduation. Application form can be filled online and it starts after the 10th and 12th final examinations.

- There is no girl's hostel in our college. There must be a hostel for girls.
- Our auditorium is required to be advanced. Our auditorium is very old school, there is requirement of upgrade

There is no requirement to give entrance exam to take admission in B.COM, BBA and HS. But in case of MBA and M.COM students are required to give Gauhati University entrance. To take admission in the bachelor courses the 12the marks are required and to take admission in masters the mark of Gauhati University is required.

Candidates seeking admission to 3-year full-time B.Com program should have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in Commerce, Science or Arts stream under the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Gauhati University.
