Lakshmibai College Admission Process 2025

Step 1: Registration for the Entrance Exam

Lakshmibai College admission is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination for all UG and PG courses. Candidates must register for the following entrance exam for admission.

Candidates applying for CUET must select Delhi University. While filling out the application form, they must choose the subject for which they have appeared or qualified in the last qualifying examination.

Candidates will require various documents while submitting the CUET application form.

  • Photo ID proof issued by the government (Aadhar card, PAN card, voter ID, passport, etc.)
  • Marksheet of all qualifying exams
  • Category certificate (if applicable)

Step 2: Appear for the entrance examination.

Candidates who filled out the application form must appear for the entrance examination as per the schedule. The timetable of when entrance exams are usually conducted is 2 times a year. The entrance exam for CUET UG is conducted in March. The entrance exam for CUET PG is conducted in May.

Step 3: Registration on the DU CSAS Portal and filling of course and college preferences

All candidates who have been successful in the entrance examination are required to register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal of the university for the Lakshmibai College seat allotment. Once the registration process is done, candidates will be asked to fill in their college and course preferences.

Candidates should submit the various documents during the DU CSAS registration process, such as

The common list is open for all candidates. However, for the category 2 merit list (C2ML), only students who have graduated from Delhi University will be considered for admission to PG programs. The highest possible preference will be provisionally allocated to a candidate who meets the Lakshmibai College admission criteria, such as

  • A combination of selected colleges and courses
  • Rank secured in the entrance exam
  • Availability of Seats

Step 5: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission

  • Once the candidate accepts the provisionally allocated seat, the college administration will approve the seat allotment by checking the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate.

Admission:

I applied to almost all colleges offering the course that i have chosen, i got confirmed admissions in majority of them, however I chose this college because of it's location, unique exposure and the faculty. However, some of the colleges I applied to rejected me too, as this course is highly competitive and very few colleges offer this course, I acknowledge that I am not the best and hence I lost my spot in those colleges. The admission process : - Sit for the cuet exam - Portal opens for admission to all du colleges after one or two months, register there. - Admission happens in three phases through the portal ? registration, making and submission of the preference list (course wise and college wise) and lastly the allotment. This whole process takes around 2-3 months.

Student Snaps:

Admission:

There are only 10 colleges offering BBE in Delhi University. So, therefore, the course is high in demand. It is a professional course so the college is still in the process of adapting to a professional setting. I applied for all other colleges offering BBE in DU, and got admitted here via the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET). My preference was to go to Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce to pursue this same course, but the cutoff for the same is very high. The admission process was very simple, I had to give the CUET exam and then the I got the college as per my score.
