My experience in IHM Bhopal

Likes

Vibrant environment , with the experienced faculties.
Ragging free and safe environment , daily practical schedule and availability of necessary equipments
Module of exams and job assistance programs conducted by the both Internal as well as external faculties, apart from that regular fest and cultural activities.

Dislikes

Lack of digitalization and following the old walk in documentation process
long ques waiting for the submission of any semester exam form.
No student portal was there where one can visit and analyze there performance

Placement Experience:

As far as the placement of colllege is concerned we had the job assisstance programme and at the placement big Hotel industries and MNC companies were invited and alo the airline like Air Asia. But I decide to switch my career for the UPSC and other competitive exams.

Placements are Good good companies comes for placement
Events planning and execution is good even have different teams for that
Faculty is well qualified and have ample of knowledge

Dislikes

Attendance issue they sometimes ask fkr fine for the same
The gate closes at 9:15 Am and opens at 5:00 PM once you are jn you can't get out

College campus is great have great labs for practical
Good and helpful faculty they help in each every situation
They provide official odc that gives chance to the students to earn money

Dislikes

Politics as here students are given some role where they are biased
Gate closing timing 9 to 5 the gate doesn't open

Placements are 100% where all hotels company like Oberoi, Taj, hyaat, park, and Marriott comes and retail placement also is an option for HUL, Starbucks, bata Sodexo, burger King the placement cell is also very good

Course curriculum is basically based on a hotel industry and the facility over there are well qualified to providing good knowledge about that industries which we are going to join in future.

Dislikes

Canteen are not available in my college campus

It is a hotel management course so the aim is to provide practical knowledge to the students about the working of 5-star hotels the course is divided into 6 semesters two semesters for each year it's a 3-year course in second-year student have to do an industrial training from a reported brand.

Placement Experience:

After 3rd yrs, a student becomes eligible for campus placement sitting they give the interview. So many companies came like taj hotel, reliance, etc the attendees matter 75% then you will sit in an interview otherwise you should try interview walking. My plans after getting the degree are first I take an experience of 2 yr then I'll go to a foreign country upgrade my own knowledge and do business in India.

My cousin and I planned to do the same course so we gave the exam for IHM. Unfortunately we both got the exam in different College. But Hotel management is a good course if you have interest in cooking or if you like to serve people.
