FTII being a premiere institution in the field of direction had always fascinated me, so I decided to apply for the Three Year PG Diploma Course In Direction & Screenplay Writing. The first step in the admission process is clearing the JET, which I did with a pretty decent score and then came the interview and orientation where I was asked questions about my aspirations post the completion of the course. All in all the admission process is wholesome and tests the students fully.
I got admission in the college by giving a Joint Entrance Test (JET) jointly conducted by three institutes to shortlist aspirants for admission in various courses offered by them. I cleared the written examination and audition accompanied by a personal interview.
Applicants can apply online through the official website of FTII- www.ftiindia.com. Few details need to be filled in the application form like, Candidates Name, Parent?s details, Address and Phone Number, Academic Qualification. The admissions at FTII are done on the basis of Joint Entrance Test or JET. The admission process is a multi-layered process and you have to go through multiple rounds of interviews and orientation. I was lucky enough to make it through all rounds and got admission in the college of my dreams.

I had applied for the Three Year PG Diploma Course In Cinematography at FTII and was really excited about it, I had given the JET and my score was pretty good so I was called for the Orientation and the interview. The interviewers were pretty witty and asked a few tricky questions so it was a tough nut to crack considering there were only 10 seats, after that the final scores were put up on the website and I had my name on the list. Thereon, it has really been a joyride for me.
