Behala College Admission
Candidates can apply online using the admission portal. Candidates applying for BA English and BA Bengali must appear for an entrance test. Admissions to all other UG courses are done based on merit in the 10+2 examination.
The selection of candidates for PG courses is on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam conducted by the institute.

The admission process was very smooth. There was no entrance exam involved. The only thing required was a minimum of 60% in boards and admission process was truly based on it. The frequency of exams is very often which doesn't allow us to dive deep into a topic/subject.

You have to pass class 12 with minimum aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Sc, St & Obc reservation are given. The procedure was simple and easy as the admission depends on the grades you have gathered in the 12th standard then you have to simply apply for the admission on the college website with8n the deadline then the provisional list will be out with total no. Of students applied than the merit lists will be issued students who have achieved more than the cut off marks will be eligible and there name will be displayed rank wise in the merit list from there simply pay the admission fee and congrats you are in

There was no GD-PI, no advertisement, based on mark merit got admission Not much support from teachers or facilities it was all average. The main thing is self-study for bioscience and connection with teachers.

Session was started on time. Course was based on syllabus prescribed by Calcutta university. Hod was highy qualified PhD holder. 1or 2 teacher were new MSc passout a bit inexperienced. About 5 teachers per stream. Ratio teacher to student is 1:10. Exams were conducted timely and one could pas it with some effort.

Pros- It was b+ (now A) accredited college. Fee structure was convenient. Gud lab facility. Good hod. Good location and transportation. Cons- Lack of proper laboratory, Lack of proper theoretical teaching structure. Office staff not so helpful. Lack of extracurricular activities.

The course is an undergraduate course so the whole system has to have an overall idea of the subject where the outline of the subject would be given. Therefore the three years program would have internals and semesters along with the practical work at the college.

Our college follows CBCS system in which there are 2 semesters every year for 3 years which means total 6 semesters in which there are 4 subjects in each semester. Exams are held two times every year, once in nov-dec and again in may-june.

Our course syllabus is quite updated. Our college always celebrated each and every occasion. We have gym, basketball court, TT board and carrom board where we can spend our leisure time. We try to keep our environment as clean as possible.
