From 6th semester students are eligible for placement. There are many companies which visit to acquire students from different departments depending on their skills and marks. They offer around 10000 . Around 2 to 3 percent gets the placement. I have planned to give UGC NET and to opt for masters .
In this college you can read till MSc degree, after BSc you don't get jobs for place ment and jobs you should prepared cause I don't know about companies.
There are no such placements or job opportunities provided for us. We have to do everything on our own merit. Recently, Amazon visited our college for placements. Only a few students got qualified with very good marks in the very first year of graduation.
As we all know that college's this course is generally fot graduation purpose, so the placement at such level is very difficult as compared to post graduation courses. The college provides us the internship facilities though.
We were given regular training on how to work in different sectors, industries and companies. The placement cell conducted mock test and mock interviews with us, and invited reputed companies in for recruiting us.
I actually skipped the campus placements as I was starting up my online teaching classes. I also was looking for part-time jobs at well-established online channels and apps. Job chances are pretty good too, I heard.
The job areas in B.A English are media & journalism, translators, publishing industry, technical writers, content developers, blogging, teaching and research etc. Most of my batch mates choose the teaching field in various institutions across the country. Other roles which are offered to students are speechwriter/travel writer,/reviewer, public relation officer, arts administrator, communicator, writer/editor/researcher/publisher etc. The average salary can range from 4 lpa to as high as 12 lpa according to the persons writing & communication skills. I exactly don't know if any internships were provided or not.
The job areas include financial accountancy, Business firms, management, research & development, content development etc. The highest package offered to one of my batch mate was 15 lpa and the minimum was 4 lpa. The roles offered to the students were those of researcher, content writer, economic adviser, macroeconomic analyst etc.
The major drawback of this college could be in terms of placement opportunities. The college has very few tie-ups with industries, and lack a formal training students regarding industrial skills. The college also gives permission to attend internships provided by different institutions and industries to get exposure of the process and manufacturing units.
The placement opportunities are not good in our and even records are dull. The college has very few companies who conducts the drives and only 10-20% of them get placed in those drives. The college allows students to get internship, atleast two, necessary for industrial exposure.
